Cheryl Cole has been named the world’s best dressed female celeb, beating the likes of Kate Moss, Alexa Chung, Dannii Minogue and Victoria Beckham to retain the crown, as voted for by 14,000 Glamour magazine readers.
The X Factor judge and singer soared above models such as Kate Moss and fashionista Victoria Beckham to take her place at the top of the best dressed list for the second year in a row. The singer has been snapped in a variety of different outfits in the past year, such as show stopping dresses on the X Factor and has been seen favouring figure hugging outfits as well as cut away harem pants and has been accessorising with hats as she promotes her new album.
Kate Moss, who was at the top of the list in 2008 fell to seventh place in the poll, while singer-turned-designer Victoria Beckham slipped down to eighth place, as voted for by readers of the UK magazine.
Fellow X factor judge Dannii Minogue, who was seen giving Cheryl a run for her money with a variety of stunning outfits in the last series of the X Factor, obviously didn’t make as much of an impact as her fellow panellist and was voted in at sixth place.
Designer Henry Holland said that Cheryl’s outfit’s on the X factor were inspired; “X Factor was my fashion moment of the year because of Cheryl. She wore Giles Deacon, Marios Schwab and Richard Nicoll. She was flexing her fashion mojo,”
At the other end of the scale we have the Worst Dressed list which saw the likes of Britney Spears, Amy Winehouse and was topped by the rather eccentric efforts of Katie Price, who was one half of the worst dressed couple, with husband Alex Reid topping the list for the worst dressed man.
British actor and Twilight star Robert Pattison can do no wrong and his army of adoring fans could well have been at the root of his topping the best dressed man list, although we do admit that man looks good in a suit and is devilishly handsome when he dresses it down.
His Twilight co-star and rumoured girlfriend, Kirsten Stewart, made it to the top of the Elle magazine’s Woman of the Year list but only featured at number 20 in the Glamour Best Dressed list. Just goes to show that the Brits are firmly behind Cheryl, and after a rough couple of months we’re glad to see her making the news and looking exceptionally good doing it.
