50’s Dresses

Hot on the catwalk and with the celebs at the moment are 50’s style dresses.

This fab style will take you straight through from a summers day to a glamorous night out.

The look of the 50’s is fitted at the top and flared at the bottom, it’s fantastically flattering, holding you in at the waist and skimming your bum and hips.

Go for strapless, thick straps, capped sleeves, halterneck, sweetheart neck or slash necks – all of these styles work for the 50’s look, but busty girls need to avoid the slash neck as this can make you look even bigger, a sweetheart neck will enhance a small cleavage.

If you want a daytime dress go for big floral prints. If it’s an evening dress you’re after go for block colours in a satin material.

To make sure you get the 50’s look spot on, make sure the dress has a nipped in waist and a flared out A line skirt.

Team your new 50’s style dress up with classic court shoes or peep toes for a demure evening feel, or for a summer day try ballet pumps or cork wedges for a more casual look.

My favourite is the semi-casual floral daytime look in the 50’s dresses, what’s yours?

I love glam, full-skirted,evening dresses, they are a fab alternative to a long cocktail dress and show off your shoes!
