In the series so far, Gok’s Fashion Fix has travelled to remote (or so it seems) corners of our fair island in search of classic home-grown products. We’ve seen brogues, bags and protected Harris Tweed all the way from raw material to finished product; and this week it was the turn of the mac. Or should it be the Mac, as the staple coat is crafted by the historic Macintosh company. Whatever it is, it’s a gorgeous product and it’s intriguing to learn so much about GB’s great fashion heritage. Thanks GFF!
The mac is a brilliant seasonal cover-up as it’s lightweight but protects you from those sudden Summer storms. At Very.co.uk we’ve got a multitude of macs available on our site, here are just a few of our favourites:
And so, to this week’s GFF runway looks. Here’s a few ways you can add a hint of GFF to your wardrobe with the help of Very.co.uk.
Underwear as Outerwear
GFF puts the bedroom on the runway with some sensual looks that will take you from the bar to the boudoir. It’s not about flashing acres of flesh but a subtle hint of skin peering through a layer of lace. Try lace layered over nude material for a demure way to wear.
Summer is the perfect time to wear neon colours as they really pop against tanned skin. Try brightly coloured accessories or team a neon top with denim or white if you prefer to play it safe.
Ice Cream Colours
Every season has its staple colour and this Summer marks the turn of the pastel palette. These shades work well together so layer them for a sweet look, or colour your nails with delicious sundae parlour colours.
Add a 2010 twist to the classic ‘Little House on the Prairie’ look by incorporating leather, denim and check with cinched waists and feminine necklines. But avoid chaps, holsters and cow-print at all cost!
