Sale shopping is one of my favourite pastimes-Don’t we all love grabbing that end of season bargain and making mega savings.
As a mum though I try now not to be as frivolous with my spending as I used to be so I try to make myself wait for the sales, unless it’s a popular pair of shoes or dress that I simply can’t wait for of course!
Although the summer weather is so lovely at the minute and I’m certainly making the most of the dresses I bought earlier this year-I still think now is the time to cash in on a few bargains and choose a few items that will last you from now into autumn.
Yes I know you don’t want to think about it now but I promise you will kick yourself later when the new Autumn/winter range is launched and you realise that those shoes would have gone amazing with that top you have your eye on!
So what do I recommend buying?
Go Designer- Most girls love the special feeling that wearing an expensive label brings, it’s even better when it cost less than half the rrp! That’s why I will be grabbing a few choice accessories such as Givenchy sunglasses & this lovely watch by Moschino.
Jeans-I’m a definite Miss Sixty fan. The jeans are always so well cut & a matching belt just finishes off the look perfectly!
Accessories– grab those bags before some -one else does. As we know a girl can never have too many!
Fabulous Fabrics- I am a great lover of texture, this jacket is a brilliant example, you just can’t beat suede and it adds a classy touch to any wardrobe.
Also unusual lighter knits are a great sale find, ideal for cooler summer nights and also for those end of season holidays!
Keep it simple-Neutral shades will always be popular choices and are a great way to build up a working wardrobe. Nude heels, metallic bags etc are a great way to lift an outfit and keep it from looking too plain Jane. I think that sometimes girls that dress in understated shades can look VERY sexy. It’s got that uber cool Nordic thing going on, and when you are rushed off your feet like me who doesn’t want to look super calm and confident once in a while!
So what’s your best tip for shopping in the sales– Do you shop ahead like me or are you slightly more impulsive?
