Sophie Ellis Bextor’s Goodwood Glamour

If you think Sophie Ellis Bextor looks amazing then the good news is you’ll be able to get your hands on some of her stylish seconds soon.

The Murder on The Dancefloor singer performed at the Vintage at Goodwood festival at the weekend, turning up the heat of a wet Saturday afternoon in a lacy red dress.

As Vintage at Goodwood is a festival that mixes retro fashion, art and music, we had to ask Sophie whether she would be doing a label of her own soon.

But she said: “I quite like what Lily Allen has done. I hear she’ll be hiring out vintage dresses with her shop Lucy in Disguise. I’d like to do the same with some of my old clothes.

“All my dresses and outfits are going into storage for the right time. I’m pretty busy right now with my two kids, DJing and my singing, but I’d really love to do something when the time is right.”

We really hope the red dress she wore to Goodwood makes it into the collection.

But as it sounds like it will be a while until Sophie is ready to play shopkeeper, try something similar from Very like a South lace red dress

Or if lace is too much, try red with a bit of embellishment like this Elements Amanda Wakeley embellished kaftan

Looking for a red to take you from work to play? The Peoples Market knitted dress can be worn for the office and spruced up for evening drinks by changing into your party shoes and adding more accessories.

Sophie’s dance inspired album Straight to The Heart is due for release in October.

It’s 10 years since she beat Victoria Beckham to number one with Groovejet and it will be her fourth solo album but she’s had the crème de la crème of songwriting talent helping here including Kylie’s one time collaborator Calvin Harris and Britney and Beyonce’s songwriter Cathy Dennis.

One thing’s for sure  – she’s starting to dress to set the charts on fire in sizzling red hot outfits. Let’s hope it works out for her.

Red colored dresses always means sophistication well second to black. But if you are looking for a color that will fit almost all skin color and can be use in almost all occasion, Red simply is a good choice. Thanks for sharing!
