Hot Autumn/Winter Trends

Yes, sadly Autumn is almost here – not that we’ve seen much sunshine of course but before we know it the trees will turn golden and we’ll be fighting our way through piles of leaves, autumnal showers and turning the heating back on.

On the plus side at least our wardrobes will be happy as they start getting filled with the latest autumn trends! Here are my top picks for the autumn season.

Chunky Knits

Autumn is the season of all things cosy and a chunky knit is essential for keeping wrapped up against the cold. I love this gorgeous long line cardigan from G-Star Raw which has a handy attached scarf wrap, so it’s perfect for chilly evenings.

Soft Tailoring

Soft tailored pieces with a feminine twist – think pussycat bows, neck ties, sheer fabrics and luxurious fabrics. This Holly Willoughby blouse is a perfect choice that will walk straight out of the office to after work drinks with the girls. For a more relaxed look try this G-Star Raw Low T dress shirt that can be teamed with jeans or dressed up with a smart skirt for the office.

Must Have Boots

Boots are going to be coming back in force this autumn so expect plenty of choice, especially in the calf and knee-high department. Brown is a great base colour for your autumn palette and these lovely brown leather boots from G-Star Raw would fit in brilliantly with the military trend that will be everywhere this season. These South military style knee high boots are perfect for anyone wanting boots with a heel that can be worn from day to night.

Winter Coats

If there’s one thing that you will definitely need in the UK when the winter hits, it’s a coat. Keep out the rain, snow, sleet, wind and anything else the weather throws at you. The three main trends for this season are camel coats (camel is the new black), duffle style coats and military influenced styles.

Get some camel style glamour with this classic South maxi coat that will serve you well for years to come. Red is going to be a hot colour for the upcoming season so mix up your trends with this classic red duffle coat from Savoir. Channel all things military with a statement military style coat like this vintage inspired Love Label version.
