Girls Aloud’s Sarah Harding showed the up and coming pop stars how to party when she attended the launch of DJ Hero 2 in London.
Her partner in crime was Noel Gallagher’s ex-wife Meg Mathews and the pair of them gamely tried out the DJ box and then danced to Mark Ronson’s expert set until the early hours of the morning.
They even stayed later than The Saturdays’ Vanessa White, showing that age is no barrier when it comes to raving.
Sarah – formerly known as hardcore Harding because of her late night antics – hasn’t hit the party circuit so much since Girls Aloud went on their break.
In fact, she’s probably been one of the quietest with Cheryl Cole pursuing a solo career, appearing on X Factor and designing a range of De Grisogono jewellery, Nicola Roberts launching a range of make-up and Kimberly Walsh presenting TV shows and designing her own jewellery range.
QS: What are you guys working on right now?
SH: “I’ve just got back from LA after my third audition for X men 3. I am proud I got to that stage and next time the part will be mine.”
MM: “I’m actually designing accessories right now. I used to make interior decorations like wallpapers, chests and cabinets and stuff and I’ve extended that to work on a range of men’s scarves.”
QS: What will you be wearing at Halloween?
SH: “I’m having a big party with all my friends and family and I’ve invited Girls Aloud. I’m having it at my house in the country so I can go up to my room and keep getting changed. I reckon I can change fancy dress costumes at least five times from a devil to a witch to a pumpkin or something.”
MM: “I always stick to something dark like a witch or a skeleton. Boring, I know.”
QS: Have you started shopping for Christmas yet in terms of outfits and gifts?
SH: “I always leave everything til the last minute – I’m rubbish. Christmas Eve shopping is what I do. On Christmas day I’ll just wear loose jeans so I can eat lots of roast dinner.”
MM: “I am quite organized but I haven’t got my act together properly yet. I have so many clothes that I don’t really need any new party dresses or anything.”
QS: You both clearly like jeans, what is your favourite style of jeans right now?
MM: “I like bootcut jeans because they’re so flattering.”
QS: Have either of you ever thought abut doing your own range of clothes?
SH: I think I am too much of a Tomboy. I’m not the most fashionable member of Girls Aloud. I’m always the last to get ready. I’ll leave that to Kimberley at New Look.
MM: “I’d love that and plan to do it if the accessories range takes off.”
