The Tourist is an upcoming drama thriller starring Angelina Jolie and the gorgeous Johnny Depp. Set against the jaw-dropping background of Venice, The Tourist tells the story of an American tourist used by an English woman in an attempt to flush out her criminal ex.
Cue Depp and Jolie’s characters falling in love (who can blame them!) but coming up against drama and intrigue that threatens their romance at every turn.
A remake of a 2005 French film we fully expect this drama to have us on the edge of our seats, and the critics agree. However, what we are most looking forward to are the outfits worn by Jolie’s character Elise.
Elise is an ‘extraordinary woman,’ described by the director as ‘elegant and sophisticated and educated.’ And gosh, is this represented in her styling!
Expect plenty of neat, chic outfits worn with long gloves, sophisticated trenches and big sunglasses. Our favourite outfit is the one shown in this amazing shot:
Simple but elegant, and in this season’s must have camel tones, we’d love to think we’ve the class to carry it off! Here’s how to wear channel sophisticated camel from Very.co.uk.
These coats hit two trends in one with their ruffle detailing and camel colours. Camel looks great with black, but try it with red or navy for something a bit different.
We don’t need to remind you that maxi dresses are a big deal right now; they have been for ages and will continue to be next year. What started out as a trend for floaty florals, has grown up for Autumn. This Love Label blouson style maxi has got three fabulous reviews for you to check out. And the Love Label pocket jersey dress is mid-length so a bit shorter than your usual maxi and bang on trend for those in the know. Wear both with heels or flats, and add thick tights for this chilly weather.
And finally, with teh party season almost in full swing, we all know neutral accessories are the best choice investment-wise. But instead of the usual black, consider taupe or camel. It looks great with any colour and adds an ‘extraordinary’ accent to any outfit.
The Tourist is out in cinemas from 10.12.10
