Girl Band Glamour In London Fashion Week Front Rows

Girls Aloud’s Nicola Roberts and ex Sugababe Keisha Buchanan appear to be bonding over their shared interest of fashion.

When Girls Aloud formed eight years ago, they were bitter rivals as Keisha’s band The Sugababes fought them for the number one slot in the UK charts.

With Sugababes’ Push The Button against Girls Aloud’s Sound Of The Underground, the two girl bands had similar sounds and similar attitudes. They even joked about how they were rivals to make money for Comic Relief in 2007 with a charity single Girls Aloud vs Sugababes singing Aerosmith’s Walk This Way.

But now Keisha has left The Sugababes and Girls Aloud are on a break, everyone has more time to spend indulging other interests.

Nicola Roberts has been a hardcore London Fashion Week fan for years – attending as many shows as she can at both the February and September events in a variety of outfits that complement her pale skin and trademark ginger hair.

Meanwhile Keisha Buchanan’s style is more bold and bright and always full of attitude.

Keisha exclusively revealed to Very that her fashion influence was inspired by her recent visits to The States.

“I’m spending a lot more time in America writing some solo songs and writing for other bands,” the ex-Sugababe explained. “I’m feeling really creative right now – in music and fashion.”

It certainly shows with how she expressed herself at the London Fashion Week Look magzine show at the Saatchi Gallery in West London.

For an eye-catching outfit like Keisha, start with the Savoir angel sleeve belted tunic

Vamp it up with a striking South leather skirt

The South messina PLA shoes are perfect for fashion week and days when you need to run around and still look smart

If you’re more into Girls Aloud and after a fresh take on a black outfit then take inspiration from Nicola Roberts with a Vila aromaly dress – with layered ribbon detail and and flattering shape just like the flame-haired singer’s dress.

You can get a similar look with a skirt and a top like a South lace frill top

Wear it with a Holly Willoughby pencil skirt

Such a stunning ensemble deserves a show-stopping pair of shoes like the Heavenly ankle cuff peep toe shoes that are now just £35

It’s great to see girl band stars expressing an interest in fashion rather than relying on their stylists – long may their experimenting continue!
