Kate Middleton Selects Clothes For Official Duties

Bride to be Kate Middleton is quickly getting used to doing royal engagements and dressing up for them.

Very was excited to see her in London at the weekend at New Zealand house signing a book of condolences for the victims of the country’s earthquakes.

She was accompanied by Prince William and Prince Harry and while there’s nothing like having a handsome man on each arm to give a girl a boost, Kate’s red dress stood out in it’s own right. It was pretty, practical and a little bit posh – after all the lady that’s marrying the future King of England has to stay smart.

Very can also exclusively reveal that a wedding is not the only reason why the bride to be must be conservative.

Busy Kate is also currently deciding what charities she will be a patron for after she marries. It’s a hard task as she’s had offers from hundreds of charities and can only choose five at the most.

One of her favourites so far is the kids charity Starlight, which grants wishes to seriously ill children and their parents.

Starlight is a cause close to her heart as she’s already an active fundraiser, having hosted a charity dinner in London’s Saatchi gallery last year.

But choosing other benefactors is a responsibility Ms Middelton is taking very seriously as her support could lead a charity to double or triple it’s annual revenue.

So when she’s not choosing wedding dresses and flowers she is looking at lots of charity information files and it’s a wonder she finds time to look composed and cool for her first engagements as a member of The Family.

However, one way of looking smart when you don’t have much time is to organise your wardrobe so you have a lot of well-fitting dresses and jackets in simple colours then just mix and match.

For a feminine and flattering wardrobe must-have try the Teatro bodycon dress, which can be worn from the office to the bar – or in Kate’s case a daytime function to a cocktail party.

Or the Vila Celina dress is a fabulous dress for work or a Spring christening or wedding

A sophisticated dress needs an equally stunning coat like the Coleen ruched cuff trench coat

And the finishing touch to any outfit is the footwear. The Rockport Audry leather knee high boots are in the sale at £105 instead of £175 and always look stylish no matter what you wear them with.

Don’t forget that the Royal Wedding is on April 29. That will give Kate one less thing to worry about and a much needed public holiday for the whole of the nation!
