How Jameela Jamil Recycles Her Clothes

Stunning T4 presenter Jameela Jamil has been hosting Channel 4 weekend TV for more than a year – which means she is getting more relaxed about partying during the week.

The pretty presenter, originally a teacher, confessed she used to be so nervous about messing up on TV that she hardly ever went out until she’d done her shows on a Sunday night.

But the down-to-earth TV star is clearly getting more confident as Very spotted her in an on trend one shoulder dress at the launch party for the new Nintendo 3Ds – held on a Thursday night!

So where does Jameela get her fashion inspiration from? Find out in our mini interview below

QS: Who or what is your biggest style inspiration?

JAMEELA: “Sophia Loren and generally the 60’s. I love women who celebrated their curves. I like vintage style dresses because I have an old fashioned, curvy body.”

QS: What is your must have fashion item at the moment?

JAMEELA: “Nude cork wedges.”

QS: What are your favourite current fashion trends?

JAMEELA: “I hate trends. But I am always a fan of British festival wear. We do that like no other nation.”

QS: What are your festival tips?
JAMEELA: “Be comfortable! The only way forward is so be comfortable in what you’re wearing, especially at festivals.”

QS: Would you ever wear the same outfit twice?

JAMEELA: “Yes! I am a repeat offender. But I would customise it – maybe with beads. Or I’d get some dye and change the colour.”

The creative star could have been a Blue Peter presenter if she makes her own outfits!

We wonder if she’ll do anything to jazz up the dress she wore to the 3DS party? It looked pretty good to start with and the one-shoulder design really flattered her figure.

One-shoulder tops and dresses are great for curvy women as they balance out your top half and you can find a similar dress to Jameela’s at Very like the Lipsy one shoulder ruffle dress

The Teatro satin one shoulder dress is a bargain at £49 and also comes in pink

Or the South one shoulder drape top is even better value at £30. If you’re feeling brave you could customise the sleeve or add a pretty belt.

Jameela brightened up her party outfit with candy-like jewellery and you can get a similarly fun look with the French Connection oval resin bead necklace

The French Connection oval stretch bracelet also looks bright and fun – fashion should never be too serious!
