Elegant and chic Louise Redknapp has successfully morphed from pop singer to So You Think You Can Dance TV presenter and proved it to everyone by presenting an award at the prestigious BAFTA TV awards.
While her dance talent contest was not nominated for an award this year, the former Eternal singer is taken so seriously by the BAFTA establishment that she was invited to take part in the industry’s most prestigious award ceremony of the year.
To show she took the honour seriously, Louise dressed up in a tailored jumpsuit for the occasion in London’s posh Grosvenor House Hotel. She looked sophisticated and effortlessly smart in the v-neck jumpsuit that accentuated her slim waist. The wide trouser legs of the jumpsuit are very flattering for pear shapes as they flow out over the bottom half and thus have a slimming effect.
There’s no doubt that the mother of two and wife of footballer Jamie Redknapp is looking fabulous right now. She’s found her fashion mojo! So what’s her style secret? Find out in our exclusive mini interview below:
QS: What’s your fashion tip for summer clothing?
LOUISE: “There are loads of lovely citrus colours around right now, lemon yellows and oranges. I always buy blacks and whites and greys which is very boring, but this season there are so many lovely little lemon jackets and brighter fabrics that are going to be huge. I think people really embrace colour when the sun comes out.”
QS: What accessories are you liking this season?
QS: What’s the most expensive thing you’ve bought?
LOUISE: “I like clothes shopping – unfortunately! It’s my biggest vice. I enjoy going out with my friends and my mum, and having a girly day where you get that feel-good factor.
My friends say when I’m older I’m going to be living in a caravan filled with amazing clothes, because I spend all my money on fashion! But really I’m quite sensible, I’m not somebody who’ll walk into Tiffany’s and buy myself a diamond ring or anything – I’d rather get some new shoes.”
QS: What are your tips for creating a successful shopping outing?
LOUISE: “Ooh, my top tip would be the key thing is finding a good product in a good fabric. That’s what really takes your wardrobe to the next level. These days it’s great because no one has to be a multimillionaire to go and enjoy nice clothes, you’ve just got to choose the right items.”
QS: Which celebrity’s fashion do you most admire?
LOUISE: “Kate Moss is such a style icon for everybody. She has her own unique image – I love her boho turned vintage style.”
However, Louise’s own BAFTA TV Awards jumpsuit is pretty unique. For a similar style check out the French Connection tieneck jumpsuit from Very

The elegant strapless Love Label multiway jumpsuit is chic and classy – another good choice for posh parties
Louise finished her look with a cute clutch bag and you could try the satin assymetric clutch bag
And for shoes that are smart but comfortable, check out the South jacques almond toe court shoes, which have a medium heel and a wide fit so you can walk up and down all night. Or dance in celebration (which will happen when Louise eventually wins a TV award)
So You Think You Can Dance is on BBC1 on Saturday nights – it’s like Strictly Come Dancing except all the contestants can actually dance!
