Victoria Secret Sexy Little Things
I first read about this perfume on Very Joanne’s Very’s Top Five Scents for Summer post. The description piqued my interest, as did the fabulous boudoir style bottle. I had to investigate further…
The description said;
At once elegant and playfully provocative, Victoria Secret Sexy Little Things Noir EDP is an enchanting blend of sparkling nectarine, sultry amber and exotic cattelaya orchid.
It went on but I was already sold. So, after years of flipping over the pages of numerous magazines ignoring the perfume articles – after all how can anyone pick a scent based on a written description? – I had to eat my words. I was seduced by the promise of jasmine petals and vanilla, golden amber and velvet musk. I ordered, received and was elated. This smells divine. It’s no wonder that it was the winner of the 2009 FiFi Fragrance of the Year Award.
I love the packaging – black with a girlie pink border with a Parisian style name plate, it perfectly compliments the retro bottle with it’s spritzer attachment. I can imagine Liz Taylor applying this with an expertly executed movie-starlet flourish, her leading man looking on in a sultry manner, wearing a white tux and sipping bourbon. Okay, so I’m getting carried away but it’s no secret how evocative scent can be. Who of us hasn’t been transported back in time by a particular scent?
