Your guide to Levi’s Curve ID

We have all been in the situation where, no matter how much we try, we struggle to find a pair of jeans that offer the perfect fit. It seems that every designer has a slightly different idea of sizes and fits, making it difficult to find that perfect pair of jeans.

Thankfully, Levi’s spotted this problem and decided to do something about it. They realised that, whilst we all might buy the same sizes, our body shapes are all very different.

To find our perfect shapes, Levi’s designers studied body scans of more than 60,000 women to develop custom fits based on the difference between the measurement of a woman’s hip and seat – the greater the difference, the more curvy the body. This led to them creating Curve ID, a jean featuring a line that utilises a unique, custom fit system focusing on a woman’s shape and proportions, not her size.

The team came up with four distinct ‘curves’, which were:

Slight Curve:
Slight Curve is for those with straight figures. This style is designed to define a woman’s waist, while accentuating her curves. If you usually find that jeans fit in the hips and thighs but are too tight in the waist, you should try the Slight Curve.

Demi Curve:
If you’re more evenly proportioned, then the Demi Curve is likely to be the one for you. This jean is designed to flatter your woman’s waist while smoothing your shape. If you usually find that jeans fit in the waist but don’t flatter your figure, the Demi Curve could be the answer.

Bold Curve:
Bold Curve is designed to honour genuine curves, hugging the waist without gaping or pulling. If you usually find that jeans fit in the hips and thighs, but gap in the back, try the Bold Curve.

Supreme Curve:
Supreme Curve is designed for the curviest woman and is ideal for those who find that jeans fit in the hips but the waist is too low in the back. They are designed to sit lower in the front and higher in the back for coverage that truly enhances the shape of a curvy body.

If you’re not sure which Levi’s Curve is right for you, then you can take the Levi’s Curve ID quiz. Simply tell us about your curve and how you find your current jeans and we’ll pick out the right curve for you.

Once you find out your curve, select your favourite wash or leg opening – skinny, straight, bootcut or flare and shop away!
