Actress Angela Griffin Explains How To Dress For Day And Night

Former Coronation Street actress turned Sky chat show presenter Angela Griffin looked absolutely stunning for a VIP film screening of The Smurfs 3D at a five star hotel in London.

Despite trying to look after two young children, Angela looked every inch the yummy mummy as she posed for photographers outside the Soho Hotel. While this was being taken, her brood were inside getting their faces painted. Let’s hope they didn’t hug mummy afterwards or leave any imprints on her lovely dress.

Very had an exclusive chat with Angela at the event, and she told us that she is getting back into acting. Firstly she’s in a new drama called Mount Pleasant with fellow Corrie actress Sally Lindsay, where she plays a high-flying businesswoman struggling to juggle work and her career. Secondly, Angela’s in something more family friendly – Postman Pat – and talks about that and some fashion tips in our video interview. Watch the video here.

Angela wore the ultimate day to night dress for the film screening because it wasn’t too high maintenance for the event, which took place mid-afternoon. However, she could dress it up with heels and some folk-inspired jewellery and be able to go straight out for dinner when her kids are in bed.

It was over kids that the actress bonded with Sally Lindsay, who had just returned to work after having twins. Now Sally’s due to host ITV’s Loose Woman and no doubt Angela’s crossing her fingers that her new friend will get her a  job. After all, she dipped her toes into the daytime TV scene with her Sky 1 chat show Angela and Friends.

The future’s looking bright for this British actress and if you like her bright day dress you can find something similar at Very. For example, check out the stunning Love Label bird print vintage dress that’s also an ideal day to night purchase.

The South tunic is also loose and floaty, perfect for dressing up or down

Or if you want a lighter dress in case the sun comes out again – or you’re likely to get hot and sweaty running after kids – try the Lipsy Pixie Lott printed floral sun dress

Angela accessorises with a useful shoulder bag that’s practical but still chic. Try the Jennifer faux leather satchel bag

Finish with some cool but comfortable sandals like the blink minou sandals

Hopefully we’ll see a lot more of Angela on TV  in terms of acting and presenting. Her way of dressing to be prepared for both day and night is inspiring!
