Christmas tree, Oh Christmas tree!

With just 42 days to go, your thoughts are probably turning to this year’s festivities and your shopping plans for Christmas.

If you’re anything like most of the people here at Very Blog HQ, you’ll already be coming up with the shopping list for your friends and relatives and at least started to figure out just what to get everybody – even that person who seems to be impossible to buy for!

But just what are you going to put all of those presents underneath until the big day? Is your Christmas tree ready for this year’s celebrations?

Well, we’ve been looking through our excellent range of Christmas trees for 2011 to make sure that you can enjoy a winter wonderland in your own home.

Of course, artificial trees are the easiest way to create a Christmas feel in your front room but that doesn’t mean that it can’t look fantastic. This Alaska Christmas Tree, for example, looks incredibly natural and definitely has plenty of charm.

The white tinges on the branches will make it feel like you’ve just brought it in from the cold and the wild pine cones and berries really do add some character.

It is a similar story with this Glisten Christmas Tree, which looks very convincing with its vibrant green colour.

Now that we have the tree, we can start to decorate it and, if you prefer to keep your tree decorations all one style and colour, then these Mixed Christmas Tree Decorations packs are perfect.

At £9, they offer outstanding value and the 50 separate pieces are enough for most household Christmas trees.

Next up, we have the lights and now is the time when you decide between these Red Berry Christmas Lights, which do look really Christmassy, or these white, low energy LED lights. The LED options are available as an 80, 140 or 180 light strands, so your tree definitely won’t be in the dark!

Finally, we have the crowning glory of the star at the top of the tree. I mean, it’s not a Christmas tree without a start at the top, is it? x

Mine is going up next Tuesday. I finish scoohl Monday, Geoff is off Tuesday, and this year it’s non-glass ornaments, thanks to the addition of one curious, but adorable, cat.
