IN: Pink-haired teen diva Amelia Lily has got the support of the nation this week as 48 per cent of the public voted her back in to the X Factor as a replacement for Frankie Cocoza.
And Very can exclusively reveal that she’s got the full backing of the entire judging panel as both Kelly and Tulisa visited her dressing room after the Sunday night show. And Kelly came with flowers and a big hug to welcome back the act that she had to send home in Week 1.
Thankfully, there was no bitterness as Amelia was heard telling everyone on the show:“It’s like cuckoo land! My legs were shaking, but I’m so happy to be back.”
Amelia will now move back into the X Factor house and it’s back to business as usual. Brilliant news as it looks like she’s doing what she was born to do as she lit up the stage when she wrapped up Saturday night’s show with a heartfelt rendition of Queen’s The Show Must Go On.
OUT: Kitty Brucknell, who opened this week’s show with Queen’s Don’t Stop Me Now, failed to win the nation’s votes and maybe she will now go back to her other job as a Lady Gaga impersonator.
Kitty was up against Misha B in the live sing off and after the judges voted to save Misha she was initially in floods of tears backstage on Sunday night. However, after a chat with her mentor Louis Walsh, who pledged his help to kick start a career in music, Kitty said she plans to do some live shows before thinking about an album of unique songs.
Until now, Kitty has always been known for her covers of Lady Gaga, so it will be interesting to see what her own style of music is really like.
IN: There was drama for Janet Devlin backstage as she clashed with her mentor Kelly Rowland over outfits.
Apparently the 17 year old Irish schoolgirl did not like the roman inspired bodice and toga style skirt she wore on Saturday night and Kelly insisted she wore it. It’s been a hard week for Janet, who spent the first half of it in bed with a debilitating headache after receiving a lukewarm reaction to her performance the week before. Poor Janet!
Let’s hope it’s smooth sailing now for the six remaining acts in the competition who are: Misha B, Janet Devlin, Little Mix, Marcus Collins and Craig Colton and Amelia Lily.
And if you like the outfit Amelia wore for her big night, a mix of leather and mesh then why not try the leather look at Very with the Love Label luxe cut out work leather dress
Or work the mesh trend with the Ted Baker mesh and beading dress
Another way to get a similar look would be to combine a tight top and a maxi skirt. Try the stunning South satin bustier top
This would look goregous with the rockstar inspired Vila sequin maxi skirt
Tune into ITV1 next Saturday and Sunday to see who reaches the final five! x
