Movember Moustaches!

We love the winter months: cosy new fashion, crisp leaves, Bonfire night and Christmas. But most importantly of all, this season brings one thing we look forward to every year: Movember!

If you don’t know what we’re talking about, where have you been? Movember takes place throughout November, with blokes shaving off all that facial fuzz at the start of the month and growing a lovingly-tended tash – all in the name of charity! Movember has grown in popularity over several years after its humble beginnings in Australia, and now means that hundreds of thousands of chaps across the world take part in this super-cool project.

Men across Britain are going to need some hard-working shaving gear to keep that moustache trim, as well as arming themselves with the technology to come back to a clean-shaven look at the end of the month. Here at Very we’re rounded up the best tash-taming shaving equipment to help Movember go smoothly: so you can concentrate on raising loads of money and looking suave!

The first port of call is to get rid of any existing facial hair using a set of clippers. The Wahl Homepro Basic Combi Kit is perfect for trimming facial hair down with its variety of clipper lengths, or use the small, versatile attachments for those hard to reach areas! After getting rid of the bushy beard, make sure you treat your skin well by using a good-quality shaver, like the Panasonic Twin Blade Shaver. The great thing about this shaver is that it can be used dry or wet – great for shaving and showering in a rush – and its twin blades give a close, but comfortable, shave. If you prefer a little bit of stubble, rather than the baby-faced look, try the BaByliss i-Trim Stubble cordless shaver. Stainless steel blades can be adjusted to give a variety of different shaving lengths for your perfect look.

Once you’ve started growing your Movember moustache, you’re going to have to keep it in shape: untidy tashes are definitely not a good look. The Remington Pilot Trimmer is the perfect solution for any hairy moments (excuse the pun) and is suitable for trimming and combing your beard, sideburns and of course – your moustache! The super narrow trimmer attachment is great for fine details and keeping that tash in perfect shape. A versatile addition to your bathroom, this trimmer is also bound to be useful if you decide to keep your new Movember moustache!

With all the shaving and trimming you’ll be doing this month, make sure you keep your face looking handsome by using enriching and moisturising shaving products. We absolutely love Burts Bees Mens Shave Cream, with its rich citrusy smell and incredible moisturising power. Use during your shave to combat dryness and ensure a smooth shave. It’s important not to forget about the rest of your face as well – using a good quality facial wash and all over moisturiser will keep you looking as tip-top as your tash. The Loreal Men Expert Daily Skincare Set features products that will keep your skin refreshed and recharged, with a Foam Wash and Post-Shave Balm that hydrates dry or tired skin (which most of us suffer from in winter).
