The Only Way Is Essex star Lydia Bright is one of the best dressed women on the show. She’s more natural than some of the other girls and she experiments with her clothes more than the glamour girls on the show, who live in short skirts and mini dresses.
Lydia, on the other hand, rocks trousers and cool shoes and is not afraid to take risks.
At a recent Halloween party, she wore black lipstick – definitely risky – but the rest of her outfit looked incredible!
Very exclusively caught up with the TOWIE babe to find out where she gets her style from and see if she had any advice for us all. Read our mini interview below:
VERY: Do you have any fashion tips to help people struggling to find their style?
LYDIA: “My only advice would be ‘don’t be afraid.’ I have always followed my own style and pushed the boundaries with fashion. Be experimental, clash with colours, prints and materials like leather and denim. Stay unique.”
VERY: Do you have a stylist on the show?
LYDIA: “No I don’t have a stylist as shopping and fashion is my hobby and my cardio, I choose clothes that suit my style, the show is a reality show so I just stay true to my style and wear what I would naturally. I would rather choose a dress that fits me rather than being forced to wear something that’s not me. I’m very stubborn.”
VERY: Who is your style role model?
LYDIA: “My mum taught me well. Everyone seems to love her, it’s amazing. Forget me and James, she’s the real star.”
VERY: What are three budget items from your wardrobe that you couldn’t live without?
VERY: Has being on The Only Way Is Essex changed your attitude to fashion?
LYDIA: “No, not at all. Before I joined The Only Way Is Essex, I came out of my studies. In my gap year, I did some temping work to get some money behind me and the idea was that I wanted to go to university and do English and fashion journalism. I’ve always been interested in fashion and clothes and being on the show has allowed me to have my own shop.”
If you like Lydia’s style then it’s easy to copy her Halloween look with a selection of items from Very.
