Strictly Come Dancing was so spectacular this year there were not one but two wrap parties! However, Very can reveal the first was remarkably better than the second and it seemed like people were‘partied out’ by the time the second one came around. In fact Chelsee Heley (above) and winner Harry Judd only attended the first one, which is a bit of a snub. The first bash took place immediately after the final in Blackpool and it was attended by all the contestants of this year and the judges like the glamorous Alesha Dixon.
We saw swimmer Mark Foster party with Tess Daly (as her husband Vernon Kaye was filming a new TV show in London). Winner Harry Judd invited his whole family, his bandmates and their family but the glamour quota was upheld by singer Jessie J, runner up Chelsee Heley, Holly Valance and Claudia Winkleman and the stunning pro dancers Ola Jordan, Flavia Cacace and Kristina Rihanoff. Kristina was there with the boyfriend she met on the show, Joe Calzaghe, and we spotted Artem Chingvetez with the girlfriend he met on the show, Kara Tointon. However, the biggest diva of the night was Nancy Dell’Olio, who refused to get a coach up to the show in Blackpool with the other former contestants. Instead, she hitched a ride with Holly Valance and Holly’s billionaire boyfriend Nick Candy in Nick’s limo – does she even know Holly that well?
Most people stayed the night to make the most of the free Champagne for everyone. If you saw the contestants the following day, they’d have looked a lot less glamorous! It was hard to pick who was the most glam from the fabulous turnout of stars but Alesha Dixon looked lovely in green. Little Mix wore green recently at their GAY gig – it looks like green is becoming popular among celebs right now. If this inspires you then go for a loose-fitting green dress like the Teatro waterfall front occasion dress or try the south ruffle one shoulder dress for more of a party outfit.
However, we also admired Chelsee Heley’s long black maxi dress. From the front it’s classy and demure but fabulously figure-hugging. But from behind, the embellished back is stunning. It’s like there are two looks in one! If you like how it looks from the front then you can get a similar look with the Teatro long sleeve maxi dress but from behind try the Teatro embellished back halterneck dress
The final wrap party in London club One For One was attended by a few Eastenders stars, judge Len Goodman, ex-judge Arlene Phillips, boxer Amir Khan and ex contestant Louisa Lytton. Although it was a disappointment there is no denying Louisa looked pretty in a red satin number. Red always looks lovely and Christmassy – try the Drama Queen pleated bodice one shoulder dress for a similar look.
We look forward to seeing what takes the place of Strictly and X Factor on the weekend TV schedules in the New Year! It’s time to start looking at a new bunch of stars. x
