Top Party Tips

This week I have been a very busy beaver indeed! As well as several photo shoots (one at Sarah Harding’s gorgeous house no less!), there’s also been plenty of Christmas shopping, plus preparations for my last shoot of the year for Ideal Home Magazine next week.  I have also found the time to help organise my best friend’s 40th birthday party tomorrow night!

My friends know I love a good party and they often ask me to help out with the preparations so I’d like to share a few of my top party tips with you. One of the most important things about throwing a great party is the ambience. Obviously your guests can provide that, but setting the perfect scene to everyone can relax is just as important. So, dim the lights and decorate the place with lots of these Static Christmas Lights for a lovely sparkly glow.  I also like to add a few of these gorgeous Aromabotanicals Palm Wax Candle Jars which have a delicious Vanilla Crème fragrance.  The candles look even prettier when you display them on an up turned mirror for an elegant touch.

Also, because it’s a birthday with a ‘0’ on the end of it I like to make an extra effort to really embarrass the birthday girl with lots of funny photos of her making a fool of herself over the years! I mounted all the photos in these Hammered Effect Picture Frames which will look fabulous with the candle light on them.  Finally it wouldn’t be a party without a cake! So tomorrow I am spending the day making over 100 cupcakes; well, she is a good friend after all. To display them all I’ll need several of these stunning Swan Adora 3-tier cake stands.

I’ll let you know how it all goes, wish me luck! x

if you want to liven up your christmas cards this year, simply keep the plastic/sellofane wrapper the card came in, write out your card and pop it back in the wrapper to give it that exclusive and expensive look…merry xmas xxx
