Wow! Christine Bleakley really went to an effort to look glamorous on the latest episode of Dancing On Ice. Her chic red maxi dress looked nice last week, but this Sunday’s plunging pink maxi dress was guaranteed to get her attention. It’s a wonder her co-host Phillip Schofield knew where to look, but then Phillip is used to working with the equally gorgeous Holly Willoughby.
Episode 2 of Dancing On Ice was a night all about the girls, who had the highs with one of the best scores of the night going to Jennifer Ellison. It was a female performer in the shape of the stunning Pixie Lott, who blew the audience away with Kiss The Stars. We especially loved it when she was carried onto the rink by the male pro skaters, lucky girl! But it was also a low for the girls as Eastenders actress Laila Morse was voted out after finding herself in the bottom two against American actor Corey Feldman.
OUT: Laila Morse
It was a dignified exit for Laila Morse, with none of the tears and drama that surrounded Blue Peter Andy Okinwerole’s exit last week. Very can exclusively report that it was stress-free as Laila was handed a bouquet of flowers, kissed everyone goodbye and wished them luck. Hollyoaks star Jorgie Porter was in tears as she’d enjoyed getting advice from Laila, who’d been like a mother hen on the show. But the gracious Laila reassured the actress that she was only a phone call away and to call her any time skating got too much. What a lovely lady!
IN: Corey Feldman
The 40-year-old actor is the worst skater in the whole competition, but the judges saved him as they thought he’d progressed the most. However, are they aware that he’s been out at nightclubs rather than at ice rinks? Very has exclusive news that naughty Corey was this week partying with Desperate Scousewives stars Amanda Harrington and Louise Glover. Below is a photo of Corey and Louise at Mayfair nighclub Anaya. Will he behave himself now he’s been saved? Let’s hope so.
IN: Jennifer Ellison
Brookside babe Jennifer Ellison impressed everyone with her flexibility as she appeared to do the splits suspended mid-lift. And remember, this is only episode two. Jennifer is now bookies favourite to win the show and she exclusively told us it’s all because of hard work, saying: I’ve been getting up at half six, doing my fitness training for two hours, then travelling to an ice rink to train for two more hours, then back to the theatre to do the show. So far I’ve lost 4 stone. Before that I consciously took time out because I’d rather spend a day at the zoo with my son Bobby than work out.”
WOW: Pixie Lott
Pixie Lott looked incredible in a green chiffon number as she performed her next single. Earlier this week she celebrated her 21st birthday at London club Movida with the TOWIEs Joey Essex and Arg, JLS, Ed Sheeran, Mark Wright and Dionne Bromfield but she’s clearly recovered now. The green chiffon is hard to pull off, but you can get some lovely simiar white shorts and a white vest at Very – try the South shorts with the South frill neck vest.
WOW: Christine Bleakley
What’s really impressive about Christine Bleakley’s flawless appearance is that just 24 hours earlier she’d been in bed with food poisoning. She posted on Twitter: ‘Been in bed with food poisoning. Worst ever. Starting to feel normal again. Need fresh air.’ In her pink maxi dress she looked better than normal though. The baby pink, peach like shade is popular right now and we are loving the French Connection Dani crepe dress (left) may not be full-length but it still has a magical, princess like quality due to the crepe hem. Meanwhile the Teatro chiffon occasion dress floats around your frame as you move – it’s stunning.
Skating Next Week: Coronation Street star Andy Whyment, TV presenter Mark Rhodes, actor Corey Feldman, free runner Sebastien Foucan, TV presenter Sam Nixon, singer Chico and Emmerdale actor Matthew Wolfenden, Hollyoaks star Jorgie Porter, actress Jennifer Ellison, British skier Chemmy Alcott, Sugababe Heidi Range, fitness guru Rosemary Conley and Dallas star Charlene Tilton.
Good luck to all the contestants left in the contest – looking forward to seeing the improvements next Sunday on ITV1.
