Forget the January Blues – the celebrities are back to work promoting new films and music, which means we’ve got a lot of fashion and celebrity gossip for you. And the premiere of War Horse in Leicester Square set the standard for the year ahead, with royal couple The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge at the top of the invite list. Can they attend every film? They look so glamorous!
Very can exclusively reveal they are in talks to attend another film event very soon – the BAFTAs. The Prince is an honorary member of BAFTA, supporting the arts, and has attended in previous years if he has not had army commitments. This year, he has tentatively agreed to attend as his new wife has never been. What a gentleman.
But before then, we can expect to see Wills and Kate look a bit more rough and ready as they are planning on dressing up in 80s themed costumes to celebrate Kate’s 30thbirthday, on 9 January. Sadly it’s a private party at the Palace, most likely so that no photos emerge of the couple in their fancy dress, but we know it will be a good one as Prince Harry is in charge of party-planning. He’s getting tips from Kate’s sister Pippa, who is a party planner. Maybe there will be love over the table plans – they did look good together on the balcony on Royal Wedding day….
But back to Kate, there’s no denying she looked like a Princess at the premiere. Lace instantly makes an outfit look more decadent, and while there are no lace maxi dresses at Very, there are some stunning going out dresses with lace detail. For example, the Teatro Lace Panel Pencil Dress is elegant, feminine and definitely fit for a Princess.

We’re now looking forward to more equally glamorous premieres in Leicester Square throughout 2012. Exciting times! x
