You’d be right in thinking that animal prints have been around for a while – in fact I think a little leopard print something-or-other always looks the biz, whether it’s ‘officially’ on trend or not. But this season there are a host of amazing little prints I haven’t seen before along side the classics and it’s all part of the African Origins trend. Our lovely Fearne Cotton has got it right on the money as usual with her Giraffe print skater skirt – it’s just the right length, looks really fun and you can really go to town with accessories and shoes to take it into night time. I think it’ll look sweet with a simple white tee and a this multi-bead collar necklace or the mixed stud and wooden bangle set.
We all love a good ‘ole maxi dress and the print on this Love Label one shoulder maxi dress will knock a few style socks off on a girls night out – it’s look gorgeous with a pop of bold lipstick (I love the Barry M lip paint in vibrant pink) and an embellished shoe like this Coleen Phuket embellished toe thong shoe (and it’s got a lovely slashed leg look – just don’t go pulling any Angie Jolie leg poses!).
Now, if you like the look but you’re more of a casual gal then you’ll want a pair of Fearne Cotton Kilda Leopard Ankle Boots – worn with South Est 1932 Pure Ankle Grazer Length Skinny Jeans in blue and a peach Love Label Pointelle Batwing Jumper you’ll be rocking a bit of colour blocking, wearing two of the hottest colours and getting the tribal trend in too, you style guru you! If you’re heading for the festi’s this year, this Love Label printed pac-a-mac is the perfect alternative to your parka – okay so it’s a bit mad maybe, but with cut off shorts, gladiators and a vest top it’s going to get you standing out in the field and dodging the ubiquitous festi rain too! So hope you’ve enjoyed this little bit of animal magic – go for it, you’ll look grrrrrrr-geous!
