Vintage rock chick inspiration

Wouldn’t we all love to be so amazingly and achingly cool that every outfit we wore was copied the world over? Mossy does it well, and there are loads of celebs who’s style we envy – but the best vintage inspiration definitely comes from the past.  Debbie Harry is the original and best when it comes to creating outfits that look individual, eclectic and thrown-together – the original princess of cool.

So where does that leave us mere mortals – well, I don’t know about you but with two kids on my case from the minute I wake up I’m usually chucked together in the wrong way, I’m lucky if I get time to iron anything- never mind planning the perfect cool-girl outfit, pfffff!  Well I’ve been thinking of how you can get a bit of harry-esque rock chick in your life and come up with these beauties.   I think a tee is a very good place to start – either go for a Love Label plain basic tee or go for something a bit more graphic like this Love Label print short sleeve tee.  Or go extra glam rock in a Love Label metallic vest, DH would definitely approve!

Next your bottom half – Love Label red skinny jeans  are so hot this season and they’ve been seen right around celeb-ville, or if you want something a bit different go for these Oasis flood length trousers and show a bit of ankle.  Next for accessories – a pair of statement sunnies like these Lipsy bow sunglasses always make you look A-list and this Lipsy double star necklace adds a bit of rock chick bling.

If you really want the full-on look this G-Star Raw Midge Sleeveless Denim Jacket is very Blondie-esque, or you could go for a blazer like this Love Label drape pocket blazer  (which also comes in animal print for extra points!) then just pop on some statement heels like these completely jaw-dropping Ted Baker Neeillia bow boots. Voila – a modern day Debbie Harry! You so rock!
