The Easter holiday can be a fantastic bit of time off to spend with family and friends – however, it can also be a bit challenging having a house full of kids who are off school! If your little ones (or even your not-so-little ones) are going a bit stir crazy, here are some handy and fun ways to keep them entertained!
1) Draw Something
Draw Something is one of the funnest games I’ve played in a really long time! Over Easter Sunday my in-laws and I all sat around playing this, and it kept us occupied for hours, so you can only imagine how fun it is for kids! Draw Something is just like Pictionary, but easier, a bit more fun, and super easy for everyone of all ages to join in. Plus, it’s great for creativity, drawing, and word skills! You can play it on your iPad, iPhone, or Android powered tablet or phone such as the HTC Sensation XE or Motorola Xoom.
2) Disney in Blu-Ray
Nothing beats watching a classic Disney film on a day off school, and it’s fantastic that Disney have remastered some of their classic films in Blu-Ray! The Lion King is one of my favourite Disney films, and even the newer film The Princess and the Frog is excellent. Why not watch both in high quality Blu-Ray with your kids this week?
3) Get Active with Games
Sometimes the weather doesn’t want to play along, and when it’s rainy outside, it’s easy to catch cabin fever from being inside for too long! On those rainy days, why not help cooped up kids burn off some energy by playing a few active games on the Xbox Kinect? There’s currently a fantastic bundle deal for the XBOX 360 4GB Console with Kinect, along with the Kinect Adventures, Kinect Disneyland Adventures and plus the free Disney Pixar Rush game, too! This will keep the munchkins entertained for hours!
4) Make Movies
Nothing helps solve a bout of boredom like a shiny new gadget! This VTech Kidizoom Video Recorder will not only give your kids something to do, but you can give them fun video projects for them to create, too! Using this Video Recorder they can record videos, take photos and then edit their footage. Plus, the camera has face-tracking technology and also allows them add moving animations to their videos.
5) Get Busy in the Kitchen
What better way to spend a day indoors than preparing a tea party or baking away in the kitchen! The Sensiohome Mini Cupcake Maker CBS002 is a fast and easy way for your kids to get involved with baking, without needing the help of the oven. Just follow the simple recipes that come with the Cupcake Maker, and you can make six mini cupcakes at a time!
