Streaming Music in Your Home

If I’m tidying up my house, hanging out on a lazy Sunday afternoon, or if I have a group of friends over, one of my favourite things to do is have music playing in my house. However, I don’t have a HiFi system and I don’t listen to CDs, as instead I stream my music to a wireless music player! This is fantastic as I don’t have to worry about plugging in cables or switching CDs over when one finishes, I simply connect my mobile phone to the audio device and hit play on my Spotify playlist.

If you love to have music playing in your home but you don’t like fussing about with cables and wires, you’ll love wirelessly streaming music – here are a few of my favourite devices to help you do just that:

Philips DS9800W Fidelio SoundSphere Docking Speaker with AirPlay

Using acoustic SoundSphere technologies and equipped with Philips’ AirPlay, these speakers allow you to wirelessly stream music from your iPad, iPhone, iPod or iTunes account. What’s fantastic is that you can set the two speakers far apart, stream your music from your computer over your WiFi network, and then use your iPhone as the remote for your music. Nice, eh?

Yamaha TSX-W80 Desktop iPod Dock With Wireless Transmitter

This little iPod Dock is both iPhone and iPod compatible, has a gorgeous LED display, and comes with a wireless transmitter for you to plug your phone or iPod into. This device is great if you’re a fan of listening to the radio, too, as it has up to five digital and five FM preset channels to be stored for instant and easy recall!

Sony Bluetooth Dock SRS-BTV25

Streaming music is also made extremely easy thanks to Bluetooth technology. This cute little dock connects to your mobile via Bluetooth so you can play your Spotify playlists or Mp3s through its speakers. What I love about this is how small and powerful it is, plus there’s also a USB port so you can always use the dock to charge your mobile.

Philips NP3900 30 Watt Streamium Network Music Player

Another great product from Philips, this music player allows you to stream music over your wireless network. You can download the Android or iPhone app so you can use your phone as a remote control for your music, plus it has the gorgeous touchscreen LCD display screen.
