The Avengers Premiere: Interview With Scarlet Johansson

It’s the super hero movie that tops all other super hero movies and The Avengers Assemble premiere held in London was one of the most star-studded we have seen in ages. It was amazing! Recently we’ve been used to getting one or two Hollywood heavyweights come over to promote a film, but the Avengers premiere at the Vue Cinema in London’s Westfield had Scarlett Johansson, Mark Ruffalo, Robert Downey Jr, Jeremy Renner and Chris Hemsworth, who arrived with his pregnant wife Elsa Pataky. As the stars walked down the red carpet, it was a constant stream of glamour. From Robert Downey Jr’s classic suit and tie to gorgeous parents-to-be Chris Hemsworth and Elsa Pataky, everyone looked like they could be at the Oscars. Highlights included actress Cobie Smulders’ smoking hot red maxi dress and Scarlett’s feminine and flirty red and black mid-length prom style dress.

I managed to grab Scarlett for a short period to ask her what it was like acting in this film. Here’s an exclusive mini interview:

Zoe: What made you sign up to this action film as it seemed pretty tough physically?

Scarlett:  “I was working with actors who I’ve admired for a long time and you always hope you can do one film with them, and then suddenly, you find yourself working with all of them. It’s pretty surreal. Robert Downey Jr is so inspirational to me. I loved Iron Man.”

Zoe: What was the most difficult thing about the film?

Scarlett: “The stunts. I think me, Jeremy Renner and Tom probably spent the most amount of time in the stunt gym, because we have these huge, intense choreographed sequences. I’m happy to do that. It’s great fun to do it. We all have our burden to bear, but certainly the stunts paid off in the end.”

Zoe: How did you find the catsuit costume?

Scarlett: “Hot! it was 800 degrees in that catsuit. But I think everyone on set had a pretty interesting costume situation.”

The Avengers Assemble is out on 26 April. It’s a must-see!
