Brighter, Firmer and More Radiant Skin

Now that the Jubillee Bank Holiday is over (boohoo) it’s time to treat the skin, pep up those eyes and take care of that tired party face! I always stress how important a great skincare regime is. Great skin takes effort, no fairy godmother can help you on this one. Not only will your makeup glide on better, your skin will be glowing.

Follow this step by step guide, you will be on your way to brighter, firmer and more radiant skin!

Step 1 – Cleanse

Before you apply any lotions and potions, make sure you skin is squeaky clean by giving it a good cleanse. Go for this Clarins Lait Demaquillant, massage it into your face and wipe off with cotton wool, finished with a splash of cold water to close and tighten those pores.

Step 2 – Tone

Many people skip toner but toner is a vital step. Not only will it make sure it clears and residue, it balances the skin PH levels and prepares the skin for your next steps i.e serum, moisturiser etc. A quick swipe of toner will only take you around 15 seconds, don’t skip it. I use this Gatineau Whitening Softening Toner. Not only does it have brightening properties, it’s also alcohol free meaning it won’t dry out your skin.

Step 3 – Serum

Many people get confused as to how a serum should be used. A serum is simply a more concentrated hydrating liquid. Think of it as an injection of super ingredients or a power boost of hydration. This is why serums are normally more pricey, it’s the ingredients.  It should be used after a toner but before a moisturiser. This Gatineau Whitening Serum works like a dream. Don’t be put off by the word ‘Whitening’, trust me, you won’t be stark white! It’s just another term for brightening, which is always good! It will even out your skin tone, lighten any hyper pigmentation and give an overall more radiant glow.

Step 4 – Moisturise

This is a no brainer, everyone NEEDS to moisturise. Even if you have oily skin, it still needs to be hydrated. I have been using Burts Bees Radiance Day Cream which is light, non greasy and smells like honey, YUM!

Step 5 – Eye Cream

Eye Cream is VITAL. When we age, the first tell tale signs are the fine lines around your eyes. It’s important to keep this delicate area hydrated, bright and plump. This Skin Doctors Instant Eyelift claims to diminish dark circles, eye bags, wrinkles and puffiness in just a few minutes!

Once A Week Extra’s

Exfoiliate – Exfoiliating will help get rid off any dry dead skin allowing new skin to push through and most of all, breathe! I recommend the Gatineau Whitening Facial Scrub to help keep your skin looking and feeling smooth.

Target Skincare – Have dark spots? well your not alone! As we age, dark spots start to appear on the surface of our skin. Use a specially concentrated product to help fight it. This Gatineau Skin Lightening Anti-Brown Spot Roll will do a brilliant job. Extra Tip, Keep out of the sun, exposure to UV rays can maximise dark spots and worst, create even more.
