Oscar winning star Charlize Theron and Girl With a Dragon Tattoo newcomer Noomi Rapace both looked exquisite in their dresses as they walked a blue carpet in Leicester Square to promote their new film Prometheus. The red carpet is so last year, blue is the new red, sweeties! And just as there was no expense spared with the budget of the movie which is rumoured to have cost a whopping £120 million, no cost was cut on the staging of the premiere.
Very can reveal that there were some ridiculous wow moments as after the film, the celebrities filed to nearby bar and restaurant Aqua, where there was waiter after waiter carrying trays of free Champagne for guests. The bubbly flowed until 2am and there was sushi and Spanish tapas to nibble on if people got peckish, which meant the A’listers were fuelled up enough to indulge in some dancing. Charlize was able to let her hair down as she’s now officially off-duty. Last week she promoted her film Snow White and now Prometheus is out of the way she can go wild! Minnie Driver and Salma Hayek popped in to say their congratulations and there were some very sexy men in suits on the dance floor. Michael Fassbender, Guy Pearce and British heart-throb Tom Hardy can all groove!
The film’s called Prometheus after the spaceship in the Alien trilogy of films that star Sigourney Weaver and is loosely based around the same story, but Noomi and Charlize did a good job of deflecting away from what Sigourney did in the past. In their glittering gowns, they ensure all the attention is on them. If you need to do the same at an event coming up then you can always rely on sequins and metallics. I’ve had a look through Very for party dresses that stand out and here are my top three;
Bling it up in black in a dress that looks similar to the one worn by Noomi Rapace on the blue carpet.
Charlize Theron showed that short and sequins is a killer combination! The Love Label alternative is so pretty.
If you want to really stand out then combine colour with a metallic sheen. As Prometheus proved, blue is the colour right now. This Love Lable skater dress can be worn from day to night.
Sci-fi has just got stylish. I appove! The film’s out nationwide from 1 June.
