Makeover 8: Love Label Trends

Can you believe this was our last makeover? we can’t either! Time has flown by, we certainly saved the best until last. This makeover was all about Love Label Trends. How to wear them, intemperate them and make them your own look. Love Label is brimming with new stuff, from prints to rock chick and sports style, they are SO on trend this season!

The first look was our Russian Doll trend. A fusion of summer boho with rich autumnal colours and gorgeous embroidery. We went for a versatile Pom Pom Smock Tunic dress. Gorgeous when worn on it’s own and great when layered with leggings, tights and jeans. We styled it with accessories in complimenting warm tones. We went for a Wide Brim Fedorah to give it an air of mystery and some Tassel Block Heel Boots to complete the look. This look is great for daytime or night time.

Our second look was all about prints. Thanks to designers such as Mary Katrantzou and Stella McCartney, prints are big news. Whether you opt for a bold digital print of a ditzy floral print, it’s all about wearing prints with confidence. We went for this gorgeous Paisley Jacket and matching Paisley Cropped Trouser. We demonstrated how they could be worn together without looking over the top, the secret? A plain block coloured top to tone down the look and break up the print. A sleek no fuss hairstyle was key to the look, you don’t want any attention grabbing hair. We styled it with a pair of Closed Toe Wedge Shoes to keep the focus on the print whilst still giving her some height. If your going to do head to toe print, definitely put a heel on to keep the look chic and feminine.

Our lucky winner Shelly wasn’t a shy one, she knew what she liked, but Kirsty and I were determined to put her into something she wouldn’t normally reach for herself. Shelly described herself as a slight tomboy, we instantly knew we had to put her into some heels and a skirt. We went for a Rock Chick look which was wearable, trendy and rocking! This Denim Sleeveless Shirt was one of our favourites amongst the tops so we decided to compliment the leather collar by going for a Leather Skater Skirt. We buttoned the shirt all the way to the top for a more preppy and cool look. To finish the look we placed Shelley in some fierce black ankle boots and topped it off with a bowler hat. How fab did she look?!

It was a great day, a very successful one. I still can’t believe it was our last makeover challenge. Thank you to everyone who has supported the makeover, read the blogs and of course took the time to enter!

Stay fabulous
