How to get that healthy summer glow

Although were coming to the end of summer, it doesn’t mean we have to ditch the summer glow and go back to our pale selves. The beauty market has become very clever when it comes to prolonging a tan, faking a tan and giving that all over bronze finish. These days, you don’t need to take a holiday and spend bucks, lay in your back garden whilst checking if your neighbours are watching or even more horrifically, lay on a skin damaging sun bed. There are all sorts of products these days to give you a little help in the comfort of your own home. Oils, shimmers, sprays, bronzers, the list is endless. Here are a few of my top tips on how to achieve a healthy summer glow.

Bronzers

Bronzers are not just for the face as commonly assumed. Use them EVERYWHERE, down the sides of your legs for a bit of contouring, the cleavage area to enhance your chest or even on your stomach to make it look more healthy, glowing and toned. My two favourites are Elizabeth Arden Rose Aurora Pure Finish Bronze Powder and the Fake Bake Bronzy Babe Compact.

Lotions

There are tonnes of body glow lotions on the market. Designed to add a hint of colour and a minuscule amount of shimmer to give a healthy looking sun kissed look, just make sure you take your time to rub it in. There’s nothing worse then tell tale streaks. Go for this Fake Bake Tinted Body Glow.

Oils/Sprays

Both do the same thing, both are illuminating and work best when you already have some sort of colour. A full on tan or even a faded one, these products will illuminate and ooze radiance. If you have dry skin, go for the oils and if you have oily skin then go for the sprays as they tend to be more dry. Our very own glamour brit popstar Kimberley Walsh has collaborated with Elegant Touch to launched her own body care products, her Elegant Touch Kimberley Shimmer Oil is amazing. The ModelCo Shimmer Airbrush Illuminator Spray is also a great product, an easy no fuss application.
