Ever since the Olympics dominated our TV screens, I’ve been on a health kick. I am not going to lie, watching the athletes compete in style was my main motivation. Whether it was the 200m ladies run or the marathon swimming race (how do they even do that?! mind boggling), I couldn’t help but envy their toned and active bodies! Who said it was about the men? It’s all about the women I say! (btw I do have a boyfriend if your’e wondering haha!)
I slammed down my remote control, took a deep breath and mumbled the words ‘I need to get fit’ to myself, of course, no one else heard it ha! Being the conscious fashionista I am, I wasn’t about to dig out any t-shirt and leggings, I HAD to work out in style, thats half of the fun! Let me show you what I’ve been wearing for my summer health kick.
Lets start from inside. EVERY woman should be wearing a sports bra for workouts, not only does it keep your chest in place, it gives enough support whilst your moving your body! I went for this Shock Absorber Max Sports Bra which is unbelievably good!
For my top I went for this Adidas Essentials Tank Top which allows free movement without any restrictions. On top of that I like to wear a zip up hoodie. Great for outdoor workouts like jogging. My favourite one is this Adidas Originals Girly Zip Through Fleece Hoody, It almost looks too good to be sportswear! The fleece will keep you warm en route and coming home from the gym.
Finally, the most important part is the footwear. Getting it right is key, it can transform your performance and balance and because I do a various of different workouts, I bought some cross training trainers. It means I can wear them to jog, gym, cardio and everything else in between. These Nike Flex Trainer 2 Trainers are my favourite, not only because they are super comfortable but also because there such an awesome colour combo!
So, what are you waiting for? The olympics is the perfect excuse to get motivated and get fit and when you feel a little sore, a little tired and you’re probably ready to give up, remember these words, KEEP GOING!! The rewards are really amazing, I have already lost a few Ibs and stomach and thighs are feeling far more toned lately. RESULT!
