What to wear to VFestival?

Take a look at our This Week In Fashion shoot were our stylist Nicki Gillon styles 3 outfits for a festival.

This season’s strongest street trend and festival look is Grunge Rock.  You must channel the 90’s with this look, think Clare Danes in ‘My So Called Life’, Doc Martens, lingerie as outerwear and old rock tees.  This look works best with an Americana twist.

My favourite is the 70′s bohemian look – this is still as strong as ever with an array of fringing, kimono shapes and crochet touches.  We saw Vanessa Hudgens & Chanel Iman rocking this look at Coachella this year.  If in doubt add fringed accessories or a floppy hat.

For a classic English Heritage look think plaid skirts, hunting jackets and dress down denim.  We saw most of the Made in Chelsea girls taking this look into festival mode.

If you didn’t already know, Very.co.uk are the official fashion partner for Virgin Media’s V Festival, launching the world’s first festival delivery service.  And it’s NEXT WEEK eeeek!! (#excited face and clapping hands….)

Festival goers can buy any of our 50,000 fashion or home lines online directly from their phones on the Friday of the festival (17th August), with free next day delivery to V Festival for the Saturday.  We’ve also put together an SOS ‘Festival Favourites’ capsule collection, offering a range of festival staples from tents to wellies, which can be ordered and delivered to the Very tent within the hour!  Whilst collecting their orders, revellers will also have the opportunity to prepare for the rest of the festival in Very’s own ‘Glam Pods’.  From hair straighteners and shavers to mirrors and tepee changing rooms, the Very tent offers the ultimate on-site destination to ‘glam-up’ for the evening entertainment.

We’ve got a competition to Win 10 items from our VFestival capsule collection as well having a facebook giveaway to win some tickets.

We’ll be there on the Friday setting up and sharing lots of behind the scenes stuff with you, then Saturday and Sunday we’ll be facebooking, tweeting, blogging, interviewing and papping to bring you all the goss!  I’ve spent my evenings this week styling up my outfits (and everyone else’s in the office!) so here’s my 3 top picks below:-

Love Label Legwarmers | Jameela Jamil Fedora | Love Label Paisley Fringe Kimono | Love Label Vintage Denim Shorts | South Knit Cuff Welly

We’ll be searching the fields of V to take pics of the best dressed fashionistas and have a few treats up our sleeves so let us know what you’re up to by tweeting #VeryatV.  We’re also taking a ‘Blog cam’ around with us to share our funny videos whilst we’re there!!

Make sure you join us at the Very Tent and get involved.  What are YOU wearing? If you need any help, comment below with your shape and size and I’ll see what I can do ;)

Love Danielle x

With so many songs out there, you may find it difficult to know
what to select for your playlist. As suddenly as they had appeared, the road ahead was clear.

Honey: Honey is the best natural skincare product that helps keep the skin soft and supple.
Why bother going to the department store when everything you need is right in your kitchen.
In addition to the honey, the Organic Purifying Masque contains rooibos tea
extract, aloe juice, jojoba oil, vitamin E, oat extract, rosemary, and neem oil (don’t ask on that last one; it’s a
plant, that’s all I know.
