X Factor Gossip: The First Episode of 2012

There was violence, there were tears and there were some really harsh put-downs – the X Factor came back with a bang on Saturday night. Weekend TV has just got more exciting. Hurrah! The audition stages are always great as you can guarantee there will be some surprises.  Did you tune in? The things I loved this week were:

Tulisa Constavlos’s Passion

It’s the second time Tulisa’s been a judge and at the press launch for the show, she vowed to win it again with the acts she mentors. Last year her group Little Mix won the competition and this year she’s hoping to mentor the females category and aim for the top. Girl power! I like it.

Nicole Scherzinger’s Sophistication

Kelly Rowland may have brought some glamour to the show last year but it’s nothing compared to the dresses worn by gorgeous Pussycat Doll, Nicole Scherzinger, so far.  At the press launch, the glamorous girlfriend of F1 star Lewis Hamilton promised to ‘nurture’ the acts and do all she could to bring out the best in people. Is she too nice for the show? Only time will tell…

Zoe Alexander’s Violent Rant

Pink tribute act Zoe Alexander was turned down by every judge but she definitely put in one of the most memorable performances of the night. It all started well as the judges liked her wet-look leggings rock star look, but they weren’t so keen on her voice. After the four Nos, Zoe swore at the judges, told them they’d tricked her into singing a Pink song and then threw her microphone away. Saturday night entertainment at it’s best!

Ella Henderson’s Lyrics

Schoolgirl Ella Henderson may just be 16 but she showed impressive maturity as she performed a song that she’d written in memory of her late grandfather. All four judges were unanimous in putting her through to the next round. I think she could be a future winner.

Are you ready for the next audition stage show next weekend? I cannot wait!

Brilliant as always! Think I’m sttaring to not like Stacy Francis just because she can’t stop crying and Nicole seems to feel compelled to well up every time Stacy starts singing to seem like she has a heart. Man up, Stacy!
