The GQ Man Of The Year Awards are traditionally one of the most star-studded nights out in showbiz land. Did they disappoint this year? Not a chance!
I know GQ stands for Gentleman’s Quarterly but the G could be swapped for Gorgeous or Glamorous or just Generally Great. I can’t remember the last time we saw so many stylish women walk down the red carpet. Everywhere I looked I saw dresses I would sell my grandmother for. Here’s my top five:
Lana Del Ray
The Video Games singer (above) looked like a goddess in a white maxi dress as she was named GQ Woman of The Year. There was only one award for the girls and Lana was a worthy winner. She exclsuively revealed she’s going to try and write a film soon. Is there anything she can’t do?
Kelly, who recently starred in Keith Lemon: The Movie, has walked a lot of red carpets recently to promote that so it was refreshing to see her swap her usual maxi dress for a lovely white knee-length dress. She’s got tons more film opportunities now and is waiting to pick the best one.
If you’ve got award-winning legs then you may as well show them off! The gold and silver Olympics medal-winning cyclist looked divine in a little black dress. She revealed she is ‘enjoying a rest’. It’s well-deserved!
Jessie J has really softened her image and it works! It’s bye bye jumpsuits and hello to split-leg dresses. WOW!!!
And finally, soprano Katherine Jenkins surely deserves an award for the most classically elegant dress. A black maxi dress is a timeless piece of glamour and the singer wears it well. She’s about to go back to America, after her stint on Dancing With The Stars opened up some new career avenues. Don’t stay away too long, Kat!
Who do you think looks the best?
