This Week in Fashion: Military Trend

This Week In Fashion we are looking at one of Autumn’s biggest trends.   The Military look is back.  Take inspiration from McQueen and Salvatore Ferragamo and make this traditional looking trend more modern, edgy and cool. With the colder months fast approaching its time to start thinking about outerwear.

This week we took three different jackets to re-create three military trends.  With so many styles there is something to suit everyone. Think sleek lines, cinched in waists and on-trend details.  Check out some of my behind the scenes photos to see how the looks can work for you.

Here we see the traditional airforce style jacket back, but with a twist.  This South jacket has gone more feminine with the black waist belt and fur trim on the collar.  Great for giving shape or enhancing your curves.  On the day we styled it with some black PU South leggings to give it a modern edge!

This South Belted Naval coat looks great on slim frames, on the shoot I paired it with a South leather trim pencil skirt, again to give more shape and create a waist for those slimmer frames.  Don’t forget to wear with a heel to avoid looking too bottom heavy.

This G-Star RAW officer cropped jacket is a great piece worn day or night.  Here I chose to dress this traditional army parka up a little bit and added some Love Label Leather Shorts.  It makes the outfit a lot cooler!
