My best beauty secret is johnstons baby wipes for cleansing and baby lotion for moisturising. Cheaper and more effective than any more expensive wipes/moisturisers and leaves me with skin as soft as a baby’s!!
Beauty Tip: An early night and NO wine!
drink plenty of water and use a moisturiser
Steam your face once a week, cleanse and then moisturise.
DRINK WATER!
For the appearance of bigger brighter eyes wear white eyeliner on the bottom eye lids
sudocream! perfect for banishing spots and scars!
My best beauty tip is to always use a primer – I never used to but it makes such a huge difference, I don’t need to use as much makeup, it stays on longer and gives a more even looking complexion. I’d never dream of not using it now. I have found that the best primers for me are the Victoria’s Secret oil free or the Smashbox oil free.
Make sure you take you make up off every night – it gives your skin a chance to breathe and it lessens the likelihood of suffering from spots!
put a thin layer of vaseline under your eye cream
I like to pop a homemade face mask on monthly – mashed up avocado with a teaspoon of honey and some lemon zest
truly refreshing and spot and blemish free skin awaits
Drink enough water, get enough sleep, exfoliate, mosturise (ideally with an SPF) and be happy – the happier you are the better you feel and look
Use a good natural facial scrub to remove dirt and blackheads! Since I switched from an unnatural brand to Lush sea salt scrub, my face has been soft, smooth and blackhead-free! Natural is best. x
bio oil – its not just for stretchmarks! its great for spots and adding extra moisture to dry skin
Making all those expensive lotions and potions in tubes last longer by cutting the tube lengthways when you think it’s finished and finding another 3-4 generous applications still lurking in the corners
drink plenty of water
Prep H under the eyes does wonders for eyebags & dark circles!
Always remove your make-up before going to bed.
USE AS LITTLE AS POSSIBLE!
i used to suffer bad break outs, i went to see a specialist, and what he told me was, ‘use as little as possible, and avoid touching your face’ now crazy as i thought he was at the time, it has made such a difference.
Keep your old mascara wands, wash them out and use them as eyebrow combs!
I always cleanse, tone and moisturise every night no matter how late it is! and I wouldn’t be without my Soap and Glory daily scrub stops me from having skin like a crocodile.
drink lots of water and always take your make up off before bed!
Instead of using heated appliances on my hair I use big bouncy rollers, which are not as damaging. I don’t use foundation now I have mature skin but I use lots of moisturiser on my face and neck at night. I keep make up to a minimum and always wash it off before going to bed.
I use conditioner to shave my legs, much cheaper than shaving gel, the razor just glides and leaves my legs silky smooth!
Drinking lots of water each day. Helps keep my skin clean and fresh
If your nail has broken, tear off a little patch of a teabag, put it on top of the split and cover with a hardener. The next day, apply another patch on top of the original, add a top coat and after a week, your nail should have healed.
My beauty secret is Bio Oil, it is great for dry skin.
Water! Water! Water!
I always keep my nail varnish in the fridge
Put lemon halves on your heels and elbows to keep them baby soft =]
My nails are the best kept secret. They are extremely tough and shiney. I buy lemons in bulk and squeeze em all in the juicer. Then just dip my nails in the lemon juice for 4 minutes and voila! Perfect nails. Any leftover juice goes straight on the hair after a good shampooing! Waste not want not!
the best tip i have is to always put sunscreen on your face under your moisturiser and makeup. Do this every day of the year regardless of whether or not its a hot sunny day.
I leave conditioner in for around 10 minutes to make my hair extra soft before combing it through then washing out.
Factor 50 when its hot and intensive moisturiser when its not!
My beauty secret: don’t spend a fortune! Most of my face washes come from the pound shops(I swear by Beauty Formula’s Blackhead Clearing Scrub) and they are just as good, if not better than Nivea or the likes!

To stop your eye shadow from creasing, eliminate as much oil as possible from your lids. To do it, use an eye shadow base or pressed powder before applying eyeshadow color.
Olive oil is a great cure for all things dry. For soft cuticles, place your fingers in a bowl of warm olive oil. Olive oil is also a great way to remove waterproof mascara.Put a few drops on a cotton ball and smooth over closed eyes.

I never use expensive make up remover/wipes to get rid of my make up (including waterproof mascara) I use Baby oil on a little cotton pad and it gets rid of every scrap of make-up and is SO inexpensive to buy!
The best beauty tip I have is to regularly have a steam bath – pour a kettle of boiling water in a bowl, put a towel over your head and breath normally for 10 minutes. It cleans your sinuses but the best bit is the really deep skin cleansing. Hoorah!
Always use the best quality skincare that you can afford. It really does make a difference.
My biggest problem is dark circles under the eyes. I solve this with plenty of sleep and yves saint laurent’s touche eclat – definately my favourite product.

Take an Omega 3 capsule daily for super glossy hair
best kept beauty secret to me, is to smile with the eyes, not the mouth.

Beauty is on the inside and some times we just need a little help to portray it, I always exfoliate my lips with a soft bristle toothbrush and finish with vaseline. It keeps them soft, and dry skin free and makes them look plump and pink without the need for lipstick.
Sleep, moisturise and eat well!
The best exfoliating:
Mix your coffee ground with some facial oil/shea butter or olive oil (whatever you can find at home). It makes a smooth skin and such a lovely smell….and by the way this is recycling

As we are now approaching the colder months I find a light emulsion moisturiser is not enough for my skin and move on to face cream. Just listen to your skin, when its dry use more of your cream or go a heavier cream or if your skin is getting clammy maybe go to a lighter cream. Your face will tell you what and when it needs.

Make up – Girls if you’re going on a night out and you want keep your make up perfect but don’t have any make up sealer I use hairspray works a treat! Seals it stops it running etc! If you’re wearing a bright daring coloured lip stick? Put foundation underneath to stop it staining your lips!
Nail varnish – If you’ve got perfectly painted nails and you get a chip well I always have a back up depending on what colour you have I either carry a black fine point marker, tip ex or a red marker etc feels in any chips etc whilst on the move! Also another tip if you’re trying to do French manicure at home and you don’t have a steady hand? Try tape sellotape or masking tape to define the nail line!
Feet – If you’re wearing those nice brand new killer heels out but your feet are going to kill? Bonjela them it helps num them and makes you last so much longer!
Nail Care:
Base Coat: Always use a base coat, preferably an O.P.I Nail Envy or a Nails Inc. Kensington Cavier base coat. This helps keep your nail polish from staining your nails, keeps it on longer and also treats your nails to some nourishment.
Top Coat: Always use a top coat, this gives your polish a high quality look. Use a quick drying top coat by O.P.I or a Nails Inc. Kensington Cavier. These brands are the best around for high gloss, quick drying and helping keep you nail polish from chipping.

All you need is some honey and a lemon to get your hair to look amazing! If you pour a small fifty pence sized dollop of honey into your hands and gently rub through your hair, this nourishes it and keeps your hair from drying out and the ends splitting, then if you cut a lemon or two into quarters squeeze the juice over your hair to remove all the odours and grease of the day and to make your hair as shiny as can be. Exfoliation is really important to keep your skin looking fresh and healthy, so once a week I make a homemade facial exfoliating mask:
100ml milk
1 teaspoon honey
Porridge oats (enough to make into a paste).
Apply to your face and leave to dry, before removing with a warm flannel, rubbing into your skin with circular motions. The oats will gently exfoliate your skin, whilst the honey provides naturally antibacterial properties, reducing spots – does everything expensive facial scrubs do for a fraction of the price, whilst being 100% natural and good enough to eat!

It is your largest organ!

Rough knees and elbows – a swipe of vaseline makes them feel and look smooth. Want longer eyelashes? Apply a thin coat of vaseline before bed and lashes appear longer. I’ve had a secret hair curling technique that I’ve used for the past few years now which I can do really quickly and easily everyday in just 15 minutes, never failing to bring me compliments. Alas! My natural-looking curls were a secret no more after my straighteners recently broke and I was forced to leave my house with flat, dull looking hair. Everyone was so surprised to find out my hair wasn’t natural so I was forced to spill the beans about my magic technique:
I have really thick hair and I can do this really quickly so depending on hair-type the results will vary. I start off by sectioning roughly two thirds of my hair up from the bottom layers by just using a hair tie on top of my head. I then have that layer split on either side of my neck so they’re easier to see in a mirror, then those two parts I divide into 3, but depending on thickness of hair this will vary. Just holding one piece at a time, I gently twist the lock from the root down to about half way, and then I drag my straighteners over the twist dragging them around and down along my hair; the untwisted part will follow and curl as you twist your straighteners down your hair. You should be left with a sort of dread-lock looking ringlet or hair… for now anyway. I repeat this with all of my hair in equal size segments so I’m left with strange rope like bits of hair. Now, you can practice getting the desired effect you want by using bigger bits of hair or make the curl tighter as you drag the straightener down which will create varied intensities of curls. All that’s left is to drag your fingers through the ringlets you’ve made to break them apart, making sure there’s little hair still entwined together and adding hairspray and a little back-combing if more volume is desired. Voila! Beautiful natural curls.
And that is my daily beauty secret. Shh!!
Use a face cloth! Gentle face wash and a flannel – a flannel/face cloth will gently exfoliate every day, much needed now it’s approaching winter

a great tip which works wonders is to apply a small ammount of vaseline to clean eye lashes before bedtime, and leave overnight. This conditions the eye lashes and makes them look great when applying your mascara.
Simple Beauty Tips
- Apply Vaseline to eyelashes at night to help stimulate growth and make them appear longer
- Fill a bowl of warm water, add a tea bag and soak you feet to eliminate bad odors
- Add a tiny bit of instant tan in with you foundation to make it a shade darker, it gives better coverage than putting instant tan straight on.
- If you have naturally wavy hair but it won’t dry naturally without frizz, then try wrapping wet hair in a pair of tights and then blow drying it.

VASELINE!
The best eye makeup remover i have ever found. And no need for lotions because it leaves your eyes feeling super soft. I also use Vaseline for my lips… better than any lip-balm. And if your feet need a little pampering then smother them in Vaseline, pop a wool pair of socks on and off to bed. Wake up the next morning with feet smoother and softer than a baby’s bottom!
My best beauty tip is dry body brushing. I use a dry body brush in long strokes on my legs and arms, going in the direction from the ends of the limbs toward the body. I do this quickly before I get into the shower, while the water warms up -it really hardly takes any time.It improves circulation, exfoliates, has reduced my cellulite and it removed tiny bumps I had at the top of my arms for ages and never knew how to get rid of.
I drink lots of water – it keeps my skin clear and plump, my eyes bright, my hair shiny and helps flush out blemish causing impurities!
Clear mascara over the black/brown to keep your peepers looking bright.

I wet the cotton wool pads and use with vaseline to remove my eyemake up and mascara, it prevents dragging the delicate skin around the eyes and feels extremely soothing. I would cleanse the rest of my face seperately. The vaseline can then soak the eyelashes overnight leaving them conditioned.
A gentle scrub removes the dead skin cells leaving the fresh skin under to soak up the moisturiser withought wasting any. Good old fashioned cold cream is a great as can be used for cleansing and moisturising, aromatherapy oils can be added to give you a blend specifically for your skin. You don’t have to break the bank.
After soaking in the bath, push back the cuticles with the towel to prevent hangnails forming then massage moisturiser or oil before bedtime to soak in.
For frizzy, long, hair:
Wash as normal, use conditioner. Then pull hair into a bun. Let your hair dry naturally and when you unravel your hair it’ll be silky and straight/wavy.
Always remove your make-up before you go to bed (no matter how much alcohol you’ve had!)
I put it down to this & drinking lots of water to help keep skin hydrated.
People always comment that I look young for my age
The best way to have that perfect radiance is a mixture of yogurt and turmeric. Apply the mixture on your face and keep it for ten minutes before washing off with water alone. Not only do you get the radiance, the skin tone looks much even, spots are visibly reduced and the yogurt moisturizes the skin for a soft and supple feel.
Not to wear too much make up.
Just after applying nail varnish (when it is still wet) tip your finger nails in a bowl of water for about 20 seconds and the nail varnish dries, leaving you free to get on with daily tasks without having to worry about smudging/chipping your nails

They act as an instant eye lift and I use them to make my eyes look wider and more defined, they are especially effective if you have slightly hooded eyelids. You can buy them online for a couple of pounds and they last for ages.
An instant eye lift without the pain or the cost!

For a quick face mask, mash up a banana and a couple of teaspoons of natural yogurt with a squeeze of lemon! Leave on for 10 minutes and wash off with warm water. Leaves your face feeling lovely and works best with the black manky looking bananas and if you use lemon slices from your G&T then there is no waste really!
Sleep on a satin/silk pillowcase at night. A cotton standard case is too harsh for the delicate area around your eyes when tossing and turning in your sleep. Once make up is done, get some hairspray bring it about 15cm from your face and spray lightly over face, sets your make up and it doesnt run or get greasy!!! ENJOY, ( everyone is beautiful!!) xxx
Well, getting more than five hours sleep a night is probably the best tip (something I am desperate for thanks to my two young children!). Otherwise, sudocrem has worked wonders on spots and I always keep baby lotion in – it’s a lovely, cheap, fresh body moisturiser (and face moisturiser if I’ve run out!).

Drink lots of water, exercise, eat well, and be confident (beaty will shine out of you from within!!)
soap and water with a good facecloth is better than any cleanser/exfoliator
Best secrets I have are to use radox bath salts every few days to keep skin soft and helps release any extra water weight your carrying, also using plenty of moisturiser such as butter cream which doesn’t only moisturise but help with any dry skin on feet, hands, elbows and even your face…..also when drying your hair make sure you towel dry whilst applying some hair oils as you would have washed out most of your natural hair oils with your shampoo and conditioner believe it or not ( do not use hair dryer straight away because when brushing through your hair wet it will stretch and most likely cause more split ends… Ask your hairdresser as this is true…) but best thing I can advise would be to use moister soaking socks when applying any foot cream late at night as this means they will absorb all the lotion and apply throughout the night leaving your feet beautifully soft and feeling awesome for the day ahead
Simply wash your face with your favourite soap and rinse
then – cover your face with a flannel as warm as you can stand, hold it in place for a minute
then – cover your face with an icy cold flannel and hold it in place for a minute

Heels look fantastic and really set off an outfit but sometimes there is just no getting away from those nasty blisters and sore on the heel area no matter how expensive and high quality the shoe. To avoid shoes chaffing and causes blisters i apply a thin layer of vasline to the heel area which stops shoes rubbing. Works like magic. Dont let those shoes spoil your day, night or evening so dance the night away in comfort
Use exfoliating gloves ( can get two pairs in Poundland) on your face with facial wash – no more flaky dry skin. A pair lasts a long time and works better than an exfoliating scrub! xoxo

Less is more no matter your age, too much makeup makes you look worse. If you wear foundation, powder, blush, liner, mascara, eyeshadow, lip liner and gloss on an everyday basis, then you’re overdoing it. 2) If you love the look and feel of waxing but hate the thought of the pain that comes with it, a brilliant tip is to apply one of the general mouth-numbing gels (like teething gels for little ones) on the area you want to wax about 25 minutes before you wax…..it really does help numb the pain!
3) Olive Oil is brilliant for so many beauty uses! It removes waterproof mascara easily and efficiently, it’s great for softening your cuticles and can be used as a base in home-made body scrubs

Use highlighter make-up under the arches of your eyebrows and on your cupids bow, it opens up the eye and gives you uber kissable lips!
My beauty tip is: Always use a DAMP sponge for applying any foundation. you can build it up gradually to stop caking into fine lines and it lasts a lot longer too.
Always wear sunscreen – even during winter!
Baby oil – my mum always gets mistaken for being younger – her secret is baby oil after a ht bath… Skin as smooth as a baby’s x
My best beauty tip is i have an exfoilating scrub once a week followed by a moisture mask makes my skin super soft!
after a bath or shower, still with water on your back, apply baby oil, moisture locked in baby!!
Lots of water, sleep and laughter. The laughter being the most important.
Just keeping a regular cleanse, tone and moisturise routine, using a bit of Benefit magic for my under eye dark circles
Moisturise every day. Tell your teenage daughters to start now. My nan started young, my mum started and told me to start young and our skin is youthful looking.
Moisturise daily.
My beauty secret is to put toothpaste on spots
xx

I keep my eye gel in the fridge, it reduces puffy eyes in the mornings.
My best-kept beauty secret is when applying eye make-up, I always dab a bit of white eye shadow in the corner of each eye, and it really makes me look wide-awake and alert, magic!
I have always worn a bra to bed, I have no idea why I started to do this but I do and I’m 40 in 2 weeks and can I say even after children STILL PERKY! I’m sure this is why, can’t prove it but …..!
My tip is to use warm water … cold water doesn’t do anything and hot water will burn .. warm water will help loosen the skin
I use Nivea on my eyelashes to keep them in good condition and protect them from all that mascara!
Using conditioner on your legs when your moisturiser or shaving lotion runs out is perfect for a shimmering summer look and soft feel.
Oats make a lovely milky bath that helps moisturise skin and is great for conditions like psoraisis and eczema!
Always use SPF on your face and don’t get burnt.
My favourite beauty tip is when giving yourself a facial, exfoliate first to remove dead skin cells before using a face mask or beauty oil, so you can get the best results from your products.
when i was growing up, i never really had anyone to show me how to put makeup on properly… i used to think i looked fab with my bright red eye shadow (which was actually blusher) its only now im 29, that i have found all these videos you can watch online which tutor you how to do make up etc, they are fab.. i would recommend them to anyone…
thanks guys xxx
Witch Hazel applied with a cotton bud i great for getting rid of spots.
Vaseline is great for shiny lips and it much cheaper than expensive lip glosses! It is also handy to use under eyeshadow as it helps it stick to your eyelids and makes it last longer! I also use baby wipes instead of expensive make-up removing wipes as they are good for sensitive skin!
vasaline is great to wear to bed as it moisturises skin and helps against the fight for less wrinkles my grandma has been using it for years and she looks twenty years younger than she acttually is, i think that she is proof enough for me,
use warm olive oil on the ends of your hair for a deep condition treatment
If you want longer eyelashes. Apply vaseline in the morning and before you go to bed
I use organic jojoba oil to remove my make up and I use organic sesame oil as a moisturiser which calms redness and helps control my combination skin.
my beauty secret is body brushing, it really helps to detox and keep my skin smooth
My beauty tip would be….not to try and please everyone or look a certain way. Beauty is whats on the inside and if you be who you truely are then you will be the most beautiful person you could be.
Good luck all, great comp
Plenty of sleep, lots of water, cleanse and moisturise every day and night, and lastly the best beauty tip – smile, it not only makes you feel better, but makes you look more beautiful to other people!
My beauty tip is simple, take care of yourself. Wash well moisturise every day drink and eat well and you will feel fab and so will your skin (which leaves a happy and confident lady ) x
I run every morning, drink lots of water, and use a moisturiser both day and night (Currently Bodyshop, but I swap around depending on what takes my fancy at the time!)
I know its been said before but drink lots of water, its surprising how much it helps, Ive only started doing this myself recently, and its made a huge difference to all sorts of things. Use a tinted moisturisor rather than foundation during the day.
Don’t smoke, eat healthily. exercise a little and 8 hours sleep does the wonders for me
Ditch the foundation when you go on holiday and let the sunshine sort out all those skin problems xx
awaken your senses every morning with a lovely cool glass of water with a few drops of fresh lemon juice in it. Your skin will benefit too.
Eat oily fish twice a week for super soft skin as well as taking evening primrose oil daily! x
My best kept beauty tip… For anyone that uses nail varnish alot (especially dark nail varnishes) they can often stain your nails even after removing the polish with remover… But if you stick your fingertips in halves of lemon, it sorts your nails out, removes stains and also makes your nails and cuticles look bright and feel lovely!!
My beauty tip is to use cheap hair conditioner when shaving your legs. It leaves your skin incredibly soft.
I leave my mascara on the radiator when it starts to get a little dry, that way it goes on perfectly and last a couple more weeks.
Keep it simple and subtle and your inner beauty will shine through.
My best beauty secret is using baby wipes to clean my face, very gentle on my skin and i instantly feel refreshed, i also use these on long car journeys when im feeling drowsy works like a charm every time (even OH uses them on car journeys)
I always have two types of foundation, an oil based one and a powdery one to enable me to switch depending on my skin type at certain times of the konth and year. It also allows me to adjust the coulour of my foundation depending on my outfit. The oil based one is slightly more yellow toned whereas the powdery one is whiter, this enables me to change my look on a day to day basis.
Always remove your make up before bed and drink lot’s of water.
Drink plenty of water to keep your skin hydrated
best beauty tip is for when you get a really bad spot, put a little ibuprofen gel on it and within a few hours the swelling has gone!
Plenty water, sleep and no stress
Put vaseline on your eyelashes before bed to keep them in good condition and help them grow healthily!
My nan always said to me ‘Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder’ which is very true. My one and only wacky beauty tip is Hemorrhoid cream (yes you heard me right girls)dabbed before bed under the eyes will significantly shrink under-eye puffiness. Works a treat
My fave beauty tip is to cover myself from head to toe in pure virgin coconut oil, leaving it on overnight and waking up to beautiful hair and skin. The other benefit is the lovely coconut smell so light a few candles, relax with a good book and pretend you’re in the bahamas
x
My best beauty tip is to give your eyelash curler a quick blast with the hairdryer, it works amazingly well to give you super-duper curly eyelashes. Always check the temp on you arm first though before putting to your eye to make sure it is not too hot.
Adding crispy seaweed to salads and other healthy meals, can both increase your metabolism and also provide healthy skin, and it taste delightful. This along with drinking one pint of water before bed and a warm glass of water with a slice on lemon in the morning, will make you feel fresh and glowing.
My beauty secrets are using sudocrem at night! Leave it on overnight and wash off next day, good for clearing up spots and leaving skin smooth. Also, when my roots start to show sprinkle talc powder over them to lighten them! X
My best beauty secret is not really a “secret” as such, but I remove my make up at night with sensitvie baby wipe (personally I use asda Little Angels and find them best and they smell lovely in the pale blue pack with white polka dots lol) and then just wash in hot water (no products) a soft flannel, then cold water splash to close the pores back up, the next morning, a quick wipe, then the same hot water/cold water trick and it keeps my skin fresh and spot free.
Make sure you drink your 8 glasses of water a day. No matter what you use on the outside you won’t look good unless you look after the inside as well
I have a few – whiten teeth naturally by wiping a strawberry cut in half over your teeth, the natural acid will whiten them.
For a sparkly affect on your nails use a base colour then wait to dry put on your top coat and while wet dip in a bag of your choice of colour glitter. Then add another top coat to seal! Hey presto glitter nails that look salon perfect in minutes.
I use hair conditioner to shave my legs… leaves them really soft afterwards…
My top tip and secret is – to keep lips looking amazing, give them a lip scrub. do this by mixing sugar and honey together and rub onto lips… you could also try a choc scrub by adding choc spread! yummy!
Bronzing your face with any bronzer and added some pink blush to your cheeks, cheeky way to fake a tan
Moisturiser is your friend. Using it on your face will reduce the effects of foundation and makes your skin look shinier and healthier
drink plenty of water
Using Milk of Magnesia as a makeup primer, lasts all day!!
I find Vaseline a great beauty item, especially good for dry patches & spots if applied before bed and great for keeping brows in shape and softening lips before lipstick or gloss.
My beauty secret is use gradual tanning moisturiser on your face and body all year round (just once a week in winter helps!). You’ll keep a lovely healthy glow all year round then.
use a brilliant night cream
I drink a pint of fresh Lancashire tap water with slices of lemon every night. I always drink a pint of water before breakfast and 6 glasses throughout the day. I always wear my best underwear at weekends and make sure all my bits and bobs are shaved, plucked and polished and trimmed, to give me confidence wherever I go!
cold teabags for puff eyes!
I use olive oil to remove eye make-up.
My best beauty tip is BB cream, its perfect for evening out skin tone before applying foundation, it makes my skin look perfect, most the time you dont even need the foundation
When painting your nails, in order to make them dry quickly with a glossy shine, dip them in cold water shortly after applying your nail varnish – works a treat!
Sleeping on a satin pillow is kinder to skin and helps prevent wrinkles.
My nan used to say, make sure you look after your ‘clock’ because when u get old and wrinkly you can cover everything else up, but you can’t hide your face!
She taught me to cleanse, tone and moisturise, and to rub any moisturiser left over on my hands into my elbows and knees!
my best beauty tip? cut out the alcohol. failing that – lancome visionairres or clarins beauty flash balm. if you cant do it naturally, get a helping hand to boost your radiance. x
My top tips would be plenty of sleep, regular exercise, a healthy diet full of fresh fruit, fish and vegetables, 2 litres of water a day, no caffeine and no alcohol. But let’s be honest – hardly any of us manage to stick to a healthy lifestyle no matter how hard we try! So when all else fails, I have a few tricks up my sleeve. One of my favourites is using Lanacane Anti-Chafing gel as a primer. It contains exactly the same ingredients as the ‘holy grail’ Smashbox primer but at a fraction of the price! I personally think that it works even better. It keeps my oily skin under control and my make up stays put all day! What more could a girl want! I hear Milk of Magnesia works wonders as a primer too!
I love Weleda’s Calendula weather protection cream, not only does it protect skin from harsh weather but its also a great beauty cream. It is so versatile and great to use instead of lip balm, mixed with lipsticks it creates a glossy sheer without being sticky, mixed with eyes shadows it gives eyelids a sheen also great for softening cuticles. I mix it with pale eye shadows and blushers to highlight brow bones and cheekbones. It is a must have product in my make up bag.
True beauty is in the way she laughs
True beauty is in her eyes
True beauty is how she acts
True beauty is INSIDE
so my top beauty tip is…..to be you xxxxxxxx(and plenty of water lol)
my best kept ceauty secret is to use a muslin cloth will leave your skin glowing
always steam your face before applying a face mask will open up the pores
exfoliate weekly as the dead skin just sits on the surface and will not let your beauty products perform well
if you have dry hair apply some olive oil in your hair leave it on overnight your haor will look so much glossier in the morning beats using hair masks and is so much cheaper and natural too
always massage your beauty products as this will leave your skin glowing and make them work better
weak nails apply sweet almond oil or olive oil and they will be left stronger and no split nails
to whiten your nails soak them in some lemon juice will leave them whiter and brighter
I empty my makeup bag regularly so my products are new and fresh
This is simple but I find it very effective. I have a double cows lick. It’s so frustrating. I like a far side parting so I can have a sweeping side fringe. This can be a problem for those with a double cows lick. I use bobby pins to pin my hair in a side parting when I’m in bed and when I’m cleaning. It really has worked . My side parting stays put all day now.
rubbing olive oil in to my scalp and leaving on for as long as pos, i leave it over night and washing with a gentle shampoo once a week has given me glossy hair and has increased my hair growth. I used to suffer from an itchy scalp and this seems to have solved my problem.
always drink plenty of water and remove makeup before bed to stop spots
After applying nail varnish, plunge your nails in a bowl of iced water and they set in seconds
