The Voice is back for a second series and the first episode set the standard high! Did you watch it? I was blown away by the talent on this year’s show. It was so competitive that even former pop star Anthony Kavanagh couldn’t persuade the judges to turn round. There were tears of sadness from him but lots of sobs of joy from the lucky few that did make it through.
The five stars we need to keep an eye on this series are:
Leanne has it all – great looks and vocals. Her voice was so impressive that all four judges turned round and it was clear they all liked what they saw. She looked amazing in a white dress and black ankle boots and she is clearly hungry to work hard as she is so poor she currently shares a bed with her mum. She joined team Will.I.Am
The cheeky cockney was praised by Danny O’Donoghue for his amazing ‘tone’. However, he confessed he has only performed live twice in his life. He has a unqiue dress sense – the shirt he wore on the show had a bold pattern, further showing off his personality. He joins team Jessie.
Partially sighted Andrea melted the viewers hearts when she admitted she was so blind she couldn’t see if anyone had turned round or not. She has a great figure but she could be more experimental with her clothing choices. She joins team Danny.
Matt has had some experience of being in the spotlight as he’s been in West End shows like the Lion King. He had all the judges fighting over him and looked confident on stage in a trendy black shirt before finally choosing his fave judge. He joined team Will.I.Am.
Vintage clothing lover Katie Benbow has perfectly developed her own sense of style – she looked beautiful in a black dress. She brought her elderly grandmother to the show, who almost had a heart attack when Tom Jones winked to her – bless! Sadly Tom did not turn around but she has a good mentor anyway – she joins team Jessie J.
I can’t wait for next Saturday for more blind auditions. But it’s hard to imagine how the contestants can keep getting better than this!
