Exclusive Interview: Lady In Red Michelle Rodriguez At Fast ‘n Furious Premiere

The Fast and The Furious 6 had it’s premiere in London’s Leicester Square and stars like Vin Diesel, Elsa Pataky and Jordana Brewster sashayed down the red carpet in their best outfits. The best outfit by far was definitely Michelle Rodriguez, stopping traffic everywhere in a red maxi dress. As she posed with her hand on her hip in her bandeau dress she looked good and she knew it!

I expected her to be slightly smug (as she looked so amazing) but in reality she was happy to share some of her celeb style secrets. Here’s an exclsuive interview with her from the premiere:

QS: How do you get red carpet ready?

MICHELLE: ‘I have a stylist and the process begins a moth in advance. She calls in outfits and I try them all on. Then she gets more and I try those on and make a shortlist. Then I take one dress and one back up dress.’

QS; In the film you’re more interested in cars than fashion. Is that true in real life?

MICHELLE: ‘Not at all. I do like cars but as I get older my oestrogen kicks in. I want to look nice. I want to look feminine so I like wearing dresses. And I enjoy the process of sitting down and someone else doing my make-up.’

QS: What do you wear when you are not working?

MICHELE: ‘As I said, I like to look nice. Before, I used to wear cropped pants and cargo pants but now I’m older I have a lot more tailored suits.’

QS: What do you think of London style compared to LA?

MICHELLE: I love the London look. You guys constantly surprise me. It seems like most of you are cool without trying. We were over here to film the movie and I kept getting distracted by looking at outfits rather than concentrating on my lines.

QS: Is there anything you have on your shopping list for summer?

MICHELLE: I think a maxi dress is so easy to wear as you can dress it up or down and you feel comfortable in it.’

This movie is in cinemas on 24 May and don’t let the fact that it’s the 6th movie put you off. With characters like Michelle’s the story and drama is still there. It’s a movie for all ages and all sexes, trust me, just like Michelle is a woman loved by men and other women…
