Festival Footwear

Summer means festivals, lots of them. If there is one item you NEED to take, it’s a pair of rain and mud proof shoes, along with some sandals for when the weather is actually hot and sunny. When it comes to festival footwear, comfort is key. Some wellies can be quite stiff which only offers restriction when walking, no-one likes uncomfortable footwear. I have picked out some sandals, pumps and wellies that are not only stylish but are super duper comfy too. Whether your a trend setter, a classic fashionista or a wellie virgin, I have the solution right here. Let’s break it down.

Trend – Summer Pastels

If you’re a trend setter than opt for the pretty pastel wellies. Not only are they bang on trend, they will help you get noticed too, they’re quirky, fun and original, you know, festivals are ALWAYS packed with photographers looking for awesome style. As a bonus, once the festival’s are over, you’ll be able to wear them again and again to brighten up a rainy day. Check out these awesome Hunter Originals I found, they come in Mint, Flame and Wisteria

Classic Lady – Originals

If your style is more classic than obviously go for a fail safe black pair which will look great with all of your festival outfits. A classic never goes out of style so you’ll be able to wear them to every festival you ever go to! These Hunter Original Tour Foladable Wellies are your best bet. Because they’re foldable, that’s more space for your clothes!

The Wellie Virgin

Up until last year, I was a wellie virgin, I never owned a pair, unless you count the barbie ones I had when I was 5 yrs old! Wellies scared me, they looked like giant rubber tubes. To ease myself into the style, I opted for wellies that look like normal boots! YES,  they do exsist! Here are my top 3 pairs. Diesel Clay Ankle Welly, Ju Ju Mega Chelsea Boots, Ted Baker Fesa Wellie Riding Boots.

Jelly Sandals

These are perfect for festivals, you can wear them in both kinds of weather, hot or raining as you can easily wipe them down with a wet wipe to make them look new again. Not only do they remind me of my childhood, they also smell yummy too! Check out these jellys which come in such pretty colours! Freespirit Aloha Bow Jelly Sandals, Ju Ju Fergie Jelly Sandals, Ju Ju Maxi Jelly Sandals.

Trainers

These are the ultimate comfy shoe, great for when the weather is hot and sunny, not so great when it’s raining, unless you don’t mind ruining your pretty pumps! Nothing beats a pair of sturdy and comfy pumps, here are my picks. Vans Authentic Leah Polka Dot Plimsolls, Converse Chuck Taylor All Star Ox Plimsolls, Hunter Festival Millbank Stud Shoes.

Sandals

Definitely one for the hot weather, flat, comfy and breezy, your toes will thank you for all the long hours of standing and dancing you will be doing. They’re a space saver in your luggage too! Of course, sandals are not only for festivals so you’ll be able to wear them all summer long too. Here are my picks, Love Label Hopper Studded Low Wedge Sandals, Love Label Sheedy Studded Toe Post Sandals, Love Label Lake Leather Studded Sandals.
