The final of this year’s Britain’s Got Talent will probably always be remembered as the one where Simon Cowell got pelted by eggs. In a bizarre moment, a backing musician got out of the orchestra and pushed aside singing brothers Richard and Adam to launch missiles at Simon. But we shouldn’t let all this take attention away from the acts as so much hard work went into those performances. Richard and Adam along with teen comedian Jack Carroll made the top three but it was won by Shadow Dance group Attraction.
It is the first time a group of shadow dancers have ever won the show – definitely makes a big change from last year’s canine winner and it’s owner, Pudsey and Ashley. However, backstage at the show Jack Carroll was comforted by Simon Cowell, who told him he wanted to work with him to make a comedy DVD. That would be a great stocking filler at Christmas, wouldn’t it? Michael Macintyre and Jimmy Carr need to watch their backs!
There was also an amazing performance from Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran of their duet Everything Has Changed.
If you listen to it carefully, the song is very flirty as it’s about how a childhood friendship develops into something more. Could this have happened in real life for the couple? Both are currently single. Taylor looks stunning, even when she is dressed down. She makes a black jumper, a black skirt and flat shoes look a million dollars.
But the true glamour of the night came from the show’s judges Amanda Holden and Alesha Dixon, obviously! It’s their show, you can’t upstage them!
So that’s all for Britain’s Got Talent for 2013. Attraction will now perform at the Royal Variety Show. And let’s hope Simon Cowell steps up the security for BGT 2014!
