It’s the musical we’ve been waiting ages for – Charlie and the Chocolate Factory has opened in London! The opening night was truly star-studded with A’list American film and TV stars. First of all, Sarah Jessica Parker brought her husband Matthew Broderick and their child James. I can’t remember the last time I saw SJP on a red carpet but I think it was around the time of the Sex And The City 2 premiere so the fact she made an effort to attend Charlie and The Chocolate Factory shows just what a big deal it was. The family even went on to the after party together in London’s Grand Connaught Rooms. What do you think of her party dress?
I really liked Uma Thurman’s outfit. It was shocking to see her as well because the last time was at the premiere of the movie she made with Robert Pattinson, Bel Ami. But one thing hasn’t changed – she still knows how to rock a red carpet as her skinny black trousers and cape black jacket made her look super chic compared to the other female celebs in dresses.
I can also exclusively reveal there was a reason for that suit because Uma announced she is about to do a very special movie project next. Watch out for Kill Bill: Volume 3 next year. FINALLY! I cannot wait.
Matthew Morrison from Glee, who is in the UK to promote his new album Where It All Began, arrived with his girlfriend Renee Puente. She’s stunning isn’t she? I love that lacy black dress. Not to be upstaged, Matthew opted for a check suit and it was certainly attention-grabbing!
Matthew and Renee are staying in London’s Corinthia Hotel and say they’re enjoying a mini holiday as Matthew’s contractual obligations to promote the album are finished. Alright for some! I had to ask if there would be a Glee movie and Matthew smiled and winked. I take that to mean a yes.
Charlie and The Chocolate Factory is now at London’s Drury Lane Theatre and I highly recommend it.
