Exclusive Photos And Gossip From Front Row At Fearne Cotton SS/14

Fearne Cotton knows how to throw a party! The front row (and to be honest the second row too) of her Spring / Summer 2014 catwalk show was packed with famous faces and she took centre stage to thank everyone for turning up when the show ended. There were celebs of  all ages from rock and roll wife and former Strictly Contestant Jo Wood (60-something) to Stooshe (20 somethings) and Dionne Bromfield (still a teen). I was there to talk to the stars about their fashion essentials this season and to find out what’s new in their world.

First up I met Radio 1 DJ Gemma Cairney, who knows a thing or two about fashion as she was the presenter of BBC’s The Clothes Show.

I asked Gemma about what the favourite item in her wardrobe right now was and she said: ‘It’s probably shoe related. I have an addiction.’ Bless her, I have the same. What’s her fashion advice for when the summer changes into Autumn? ‘I like to stay bright,’ she revealed. ‘Its too depressing otherwise. And don’t forget about jewellery like ear-rings or a hair band to go from day to night.’ Top advice!

I also caught up with Celebrity Big Brother’s Bit On The Side presenter AJ Ododu, who was wearing one of the Very Definitions pieces – the peplum jumpsuit. She looks just fabulous in it doesn’t she? The shoes add some extra attitude.

AJ told me that she has a few TV projects in the pipeline. They’re still in early stages but you can guarantee Celeb BB is just the start of AJ’s presenting career. Xtra Factor’s Caroline Flack got her first big break as an Big Brother spin off show presenter…and now look at how well she’s done (plus she’s even dated Harry Styles).

When I go to a fashion show I like looking at what the celebs are wearing almost as much as I like looking at the clothes on the catwalk. Looking at Amanda Byram (below left), Emily Attack (centre) and Meg Matthews (right) makes me think that brights are in for Autumn / Winter.

Another one working the bright look was YouTube fashion stylist Electra Formosa, who I noticed was wearing Very Definitions as well. She let me in to a secret of how to pose – one hand on hip and turn your body slightly. How do you think I got on? I’m so going to practise this hand on hip tip as I do find it awkward knowing where to put my hands in photos. I’m learning!

And not only are brights in, the bright prints are clearly in. Former Coronation Street Actress Katherine Kelly and singer Dionne Bromfield busted out the prints…and I think a lot of other celebs were envious. They really stood out!

Dionne told me she’s been working on some projects with The Wanted and had also been having meetings with music producers in America. She’s only 16 and she’s actually released two albums already- will it be third time lucky until one makes the big time?

I also noticed the celebs are also liking a formal tailored look right now, which is very on trend with Very’s Definitions range. Check out Stooshe and Lydia Bright in their smart skirts and dresses.

Fearne didn’t discriminate among her friends when it came to inviting male and females, even though her range is womenswear. Singer Wretch 32 was hanging out with Tinchy Stryder – both were rocking leather jackets, which are an Autumn essential!

Two of the members of boyband Lawson also did the leather jacket look. They’re very good looking guys.

And finally, let’s not forget about the star of the show, the gorgeous Fearne Cotton, who looked lovely in a red maxi dress as she came out to rapturous applause after the show.

The amount of applause Fearne got was insane, reflecting the fact that she’s come up with a truly fantastic and creative collection for Spring / Summer 2014. I’ll let you in on a few exclusives of what’s coming up as I took some photos of my fave looks. I can see myself wearing all of these to the celeb parties I go to. Firstly, I love how she mixes blue and purple in this cute tea dress:

Fearne’s collection has real attention to detail and I loved how she livened up a red day dress with a slashed neckline.

And then it’s back to the prints! Check out this statement maxi dress:

If you want something that could take you from work to bar, then there were a few pieces that really stood out for me. Firstly, a printed dress with a skater style A’line skirt.

Secondly, this black and white dress is simply mesmerising – I actually couldn’t take my eyes of the model as she wore it down the catwalk!

The collection caters for all eventualities and you know we always get rain in the UK, so Fearne’s range takes that into account. Check out the olive green mac below. I almost want it to rain so that I can wear it!

Watch out for the newest pieces in the Fearne collection at Very soon! I’ve just selected my personal favourites above…I can guarantee there is something for all tastes.
