I was lucky enough to get two tickets to the very glamorous Alder Hey Clothes Throw last week, supported by the lovely Coleen Rooney. Alder Hey is a wonderful children’s charity who care for over 270,000 sick children and young people every year, along with their families. In 2015 it aims to move sites to a purpose built hospital within park grounds, so this fabulous bash was auctioning off celebrity items to help raise funds.
Everyone from our own Fearne Cotton to supermodel Kate Moss had donated items and once we had all enjoyed our fill of wine, delicious mini fish and chips and yummy canapés everyone got down to the business of bidding.
My favourite items were the Nicole Richie bolero jacket that had a fabulous floral print, and the gorgeous Longchamp bag donated from Kate Moss’ very own wardrobe that came with a signed photo of the lady herself. The latter went for a wopping £1400, so it was a tad out of my price range!
Although the items on the catwalk were stunning, I was also equally impressed by the lovely ladies in the audience. The event was held in Liverpool and it certainly showed that these girls know how to do glam! I like to think I was able to hold my own in a dusty pink 1920s style dress, ankle boots and a touch of burgundy lipstick but it was hard to match up. With their perfectly coiffed hair, gorgeous frocks and plenty of bling they were all bidding away and helping to raise plenty of money for an amazing cause.
It was a brilliant night, but next time I’ll have to remember to take my credit card!

P.s I also blog about my other adventures in Liverpool as an Honorary Scouse. Have a spy!
