Little Mix Liven Up The Capital Rocks Charity Ball

When Capital Radio throws a party you know you’ll get some good guests and sure enough, their Capital Rocks charity fundraiser drew in Little Mix (above), JLS, a super glam Jessie J and 1D ‘s Niall Horan. It was weird to see Niall without his band mates but he dealt with the attention really well. Everywhere he went he was followed by fans of all ages as the 1D hysteria shows no sign of slowing down. And to be honest, why should it? Who doesn’t love a bit of One Direction?

At the fundraiser, all the acts walked the red carpet before the show so there was a bit of time to get the gossip. First of all Little Mix gave a bit away about their promotion for their new single Little Me. The inspirational song will be the one they use for their American attack with a US release date scheduled for February 2014. How exciting! What we all wanted to know was details about Perrie Edwards’ wedding to 1D’s Zayn Malik but she was keeping it tight-lipped. She did blush when his name was mentioned though – bless!

Then Jessie J walked the red carpet and looked so lovely I almost got lost for words.

What I liked about her black maxi dress is it’s a bit edgy with a plunging neckline. From the side it looks quite conservative (especially compared to the things she normally wears) but when she showed the front it looked much more spectacular. If you’re going to wear a black dress to a party you need to make sure it has a stand out detail – perhaps a neckline or maybe sequin embellishment or an asymmetric hem.

The funniest moment of the night involved Niall Horan. He almost split his trousers!

As he was walking down the red carpet he suddenly burst out laughing as he got up from tying his shoelaces. Then he checked himself over but sadly it was a false alarm. Everyone was slightly disappointed.

And finally, JLS showed up for one of their final ever gigs looking gorgeous in black suits. They said they were emotional already and they haven’t even properly started their final Goodbye tour. Their last gig will be in London’s 02 Arena on 22 December as their original five album deal has come to an end and they don’t want to re-sign. Have your tissues at the ready…

All the money raised from the night will go to the charity Help A Capital Child and the same event last year raised £410,000. I love it when gossip meets glamour and it’s all for a good cause!
