Award Winners And Style Winners At The National TV Awards

The National TV Awards (NTAs) is one of my favourite events of the year as there are so many famous faces under one roof. Do you know what that means? Lots of fabulous outfits to look at!

In terms of the awards themselves, which I’ve listed at the end of this blog post, there were no real surprises. Ant and Dec won a trophy but they’ve won something for the past 12 consecutive years. Saturday night family TV show Strictly Come Dancing scooped an award and so did detective series Sherlock but we know their popularity by the ratings figures, right? 11 million people watched the last episode of actor Benedict Cumberbatch playing Sherlock. However, one thing we can never predict is what the stars will be  wearing. It’s an occasion to get really glammed up and this year I did spot one common trend – the cleavage was out. Here are my fave dresses from the night:

Holly Willoughby

Very designer Holly Willoughby always looks feminine and classy bur at the NTAs she went the extra mile! This black maxi dress makes her look like a classic Hollywood movie star.

Amy Willerton

She’s only just got out of the I’m A Celebrity jungle and before that I didn’t know who she was but you can’t deny Amy W looked super glam at the NTA’s. I love the big 80s style backcombed hair almost as much as the embellishment on her dress. In the jungle she got with The Only Way Is Essex star Joey Essex. He must be kicking himself for letting her get away!

Kelly Brook

Kelly has one of the best figures in Showbiz – personally I’d kill to have curves like hers – and at the NTAs her mantra seemed to be ‘If you’ve got it, flaunt it’. Check out that thigh split in her little black dress!

Kym Lomas

Coronation Street star Kym literally dazzled in a sequin floor length dress. Talk about yummy mummy! It’s hard to believe Kym started out in a TV singing contest and the 90s pop band Hear’Say now she’s an acclaimed actress. She gets better every year, I think.

Caroline Flack

In a sea of black and colour on the red carpet, I think Caroline Flack was the only one in white. She wore it her way with her signature style of shorts and a vest top but the vest top is lower cut than we’re used to seeing from her. I like the layered look with the blazer over the top – what do you think?

Abbey Clancy

Strictly Come Dancing won an award for Best and as Abbey won the dance competition she picked up the prize in a bright red dress. Ok, so she kept it quite conservative on the top half unlike some of the other stars but she made up for it with the thigh split! She looked gorgeous.

And the winners are:
