Glam Gossip From Brit Award Nominations 2014

It’s almost that time of year again – The Brit Awards will be coming to London’s O2 arena on 19th February! I am pretty sure it’s going to be Ah.Mazing this year now that we have some idea of who’s likely to win what. The list of nominees was read out by Radio 1 presenter Nick Grimshaw at a glamorous event in London’s Savoy Hotel but this was no boring announcement – it actually turned into a party with guests getting dressed up almost as good as they would on the night itself. I mean, check out Ellie Goulding and Jessie J -both wearing a black dress in their own unique way. Jessie, who used to live in jumpsuits, is always a big fan of figure hugging outfits so she went for a bodycon dress. Ellie, on the other hand, is more boho and reflected that with a lace dress.

Just like at the Cirque Du Soleil VIP night earlier this week, the trend really was for black dresses. But the lovely Laura Whitmore brought in a monochrome edge by wearing a white jacket over a black jumpsuit. Every time I see her,I have complete outfit envy!

Pixie Lott  really stood out in a dress that looked like a standard bustier dress on top but opened up into a skirt with an asymetric hem. I like it – what do you think?

So what’s the goss? Firstly, I have some info from inside the event. Pixie Lott performed her new single Nasty ahead of its release anywhere else. It’s proper feel-good pop although Pixie did admit to me that Christina Aguilera recorded the song first but never released it. Jessie J couldn’t stop grinning as she got nominated for Best Female Solo Artist. It’s the fourth year running she’s been nominated and she says she never takes anything for granted. But it was Rudimental who were the most happy as they found out they had got three nominations. They said they most want to win Best British Album as blood, sweat and tears went into the making of their album, Home. Bless!
