As soon as I heard about our Bring The Colour campaign my first though was: jewellery. Bright jewellery, and plenty of it! I personally don’t think any outfit is complete without at least a few necklaces, several bracelets and many, many rings. However most of you probably don’t want to spend the day jangling around the office like me, quite understandable, and that’s where statement jewellery comes in. You can add a gorgeous colour pop in an instant and rock this seasons trends perfectly.
Tribal jewellery is a must for the summer months – think boho vibes, ethnic prints and plenty of colour. This hand wrap necklace ticks all the right boxes, with a striking aztec look that contrasts handwoven blue detail and a gorgeous orange flash. The beauty of this piece is that it can be teamed with pretty much anything, a jersey maxi dress, shorts and a t shirt, even your bikini – I’m a big advocate of jewellery and swimwear together! Just remember to take it off before you jump in the pool.
This metal work necklace has a similar colourful appeal, blending pastel tones with clean lines and hand wrapped detail to create a gorgeous tribal pattern. This crisp design is a sophisticated take on the tribal look, so wear it with your favourite black dress for an instant update. For a more minimalist way to add a colourful touch, there’s this gorgeous art deco block necklace. Brilliantly versatile, simply pair it with a matching orange nail polish for some serious summerstyle.
Another summer must is an armful of bangles. They are perfect to throw in your suitcase or rucksack when it’s time to head off on holiday or to a festival, giving you instant fashion cred with minimum fuss. This gorgeous bangle stack is seriously striking and a loud and proud way to add a colour pop to your outfit. This beaded bangle stack is all about the textures, mixing contemporary shapes and ethnic prints for a brilliant boho look with a modern twist. For anyone who isn’t a fan of the more is more school of thought then this Fiorelli bracelet is the perfect way to add a bright neon flash while still keeping it simple.
My average ring count is at least ten, although I have been known to add more… However statement jewellery like this gorgeous blue Fiorelli ring is made to be worn alone with a few gold bangles for a pretty pop of colour.
Even though I’m all about the bling, one thing to remember is that when you’re rocking a statement necklace and chunky bracelets keep the earrings small – otherwise you risk overwhelming your look, not to mention weighing yourself down! Never one to go out without earrings, I usually wear my Fiorelli bicycle studs to add a playful element to my outfit. This cute stud set is also a great choice as you can mix and match them to add plenty of personality.
