Who do you want to be this spring?
From New York and Milan to London and Paris, SS14 catwalks were awash with everything from chalkboard to rainbow colour palettes, ethereal flowing fabrics to neoprene sporty numbers and everything in between. So, with what’s shaping up to be one of the most exciting spring’s your wardrobe has ever seen, we’re asking you ‘what girl do you want to be?’
The Tribal Girl?
Alexander McQueen set the catwalk ablaze with fierce tribal looks at London Fashion Week. With a dazzling mixture of textures, colours and block patterns the looks are a heart pumping nod to a new spring attitude.
What better way to amp up your spring look than with edgy, eastern-inspired tribal looks? With bold, bright colours forming defiant patterns and repeat prints clashing for attention this is not a look for a wallflower to attempt.
Keep your beauty look to a minimum and let your statement-making looks do the talking. A mixture of textures from feathers to draping jersey create shape and movement – bringing your tribal style alive.
The Colour Pop Girl?
Bora Aksu brightened up London Fashion Week with this colourful ensemble of yellows, pinks and blues covering lace and sheer mesh as well as edging hems and circle skirts.
Bold, beautiful and boasting colour palettes is where it’s at this season with the colour pop trend starting a real rainbow revolution up and down the High Street!
Channel your Colour Pop girl with yowzer yellows and pow packed pinks that are sure to show off your sun smooched pins this summer.

Balmain stole the show at Paris Fashion Week with a mesmerising monochrome collection. Checkerboard and houndstooth prints work stylishly with leather highlights and metallic flashes.
There is nothing cooler than a black and white look. Cool, crisp and super sleek a woman in monochrome is a force to be reckoned with. Balmain injected a pinch of Punk with leather pieces and cold, metal hardware.
Get in touch with your inner city slicker and spend the season in cut throat cool black and white. Edge it up with metallic accessories and lashings of kohl.
The Sports Luxe Girl?
Rebecca Minkoff showed off her Sports Luxe girl at NYFW and gave us a glam twist on sports style with her streamlined cuts and colour palettes.
Kicking back in comfy, athletic cuts is a must for summer, but this season’s Sports Luxe girl ain’t all about the Converse, oversized tees and sweatpants!
Oh no – she’s an urban innovation fusing chunky wedges and asymmetric zips with colour blocks and neon trims…throw in a touch of neoprene fabric and you get the idea.

Phillip Lim come over all pastel at New York Fashion and showed us that bright isn’t always better. Muted hues, mannish tailoring and mismatched separates all draped in a perfect pastel palette created a lustworthy spring look.
Think pastels are over? Think again. If you’re not yet then it’s about time you got cosy with pale yellows, light sky blues and stony greys. The softness of the colour palette only strengthens your spring style.
Be pretty in pastels and match your nails to your look – you can never have enough soft cream this season. Complete your pastel perfection with chunky sandals.
The Microtrend Girl?
Microtrends dominated the SS14 catwalks with asymmetric skirts, mesh panels and gold accents all playing their part.
Like me, if you love a little bit of everything then the microtrend way is a must for you this season. Pull your off-duty, workwear and evening looks together effortlessly with gold accents to your heels and handbags, asymmetric skirts paired with tough leather sandals and, of course, a bit of neck bling!
